That make all the difference. And there are plenty of lovely little things that made our 2 day stay at Penbontbren memorable. From the home baked cookies to the surprise box of chocolates; from the wonderful coffee to the home made butter; from the lovely decor to the thoughtful books. Our suite was pure luxury but felt like home from home.

I tend to judge hotels on the quality of the beds and bed linen and Penbontbren passed with flying colours. A deeply comfortable mattress and super soft white bedlinen. No corners are cut; the breakfast selection is one of the best I've ever seen anywhere in the world. Thank you Richard for making us so welcome, baking the bread, cooking the breakfast and being a wonderful host. We'll be back.

What an amazing place and everything was first class. Dog friendly, spacious luxury rooms with little sitting area and fenced in small patio area. Beds very comfortable and luxury bathrooms. Breakfast was fabulous and excellent service and welcome.
Will be back for a longer stay so i can soak up the beautiful surroundings.

We spent two nights at beautiful Penbontbren at the beginning of October. Our son found this fabulous accommodation for us which is also dog friendly. Jake was made to feel just as welcome as we were. There was plenty of room for his crate in the living area and we could close the doors to the bed room. We were in a ground floor room which gave access to the beautiful grounds for toilet trips (dog bag disposal bin too) and Richard and Huw gave us advice about beaches to go to and dog friendly restaurants.
The accommodation was beautiful, with so much thought and attention to the needs of guests. The breakfasts were delicious too. My only regret is that our stay was so short, definitely a place to return to.
