Just back from a two day break and will definitely be planning future stays in this lovely hotel. We were a party of five adults and from the moment we arrived felt very at home.
Staff extremely welcoming, location great, hotel clean and bright. Terrific views and having paid a small supplement, we were allocated a room with a balcony overlooking the sea - recommend you ask for this! Rooms spacious enough but if I was being a wee bit fussy, there was limited wardrobe space :(
Food throughout the stay was lovely, fresh and plentiful - both in the bar and restaurant. Waiting staff all knowledgeable about menu, polite and more than helpful when small changes were requested.
Had complimentary spa treatment as part of our two day deal and again no issues or problems.
Whilst Redcastle has little to offer outside of hotel, we had to travel a little to busy our days but some lovely drives and nice towns in the area.
Very lovely time had by all!!

Room Tip: Ask for sea view room - 20 euro extra but worth every cent

Booked the Redcastle as a last minute "getaway" not knowing what to expect. Everything was perfect. We were greeted very warmly by Joanne at reception. Our Room was spacious and had a fantastic view of the Lough. The Leisure facilities were excellent, very well maintained and for a Hotel the Pool was quite large. We had dinner in the Restaurant again incredible views of the Lough. The food was "par excellence" and should have a "Michelin" rating. Every member of the Team that we encountered could not have been more friendly or helpful. We were very tempted to stay another night but, unfortunately, time constraints did not allow but, we will be back and for a longer stay next time.

Room Tip: Room 208 or even better one with a Terrace/Veranda

Had a brilliant weekend here the staff are very helpful and anything we needed wasn't a problem for them. breakfast was very good we had our evening meal there to it was also very good. Used the pool which was nice and clean so were the changing room. I also had a facial which was very good .The only down side for us was the bed it was lumpy and hard.

Recently returned from an overnight stay in Redcastle Hotel. I was travelling on business so I just wanted a comfortable, clean bed and some good food. The hotel itself is lovely - clean and modern. My room was nice and spacious - disappointing view of the car park but did not bother me too much. We ate in the bar - I am a big fan of chicken wings but was really disappointed - southern fried - was not impressed with the bar food. Breakfast was really delicious and the views were incredible!! Did not get a chance to use the leisure facilities but I heard they are fab!

We stayed here for 2 nights a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed our stay. This was our fourth visit. It is a very relaxing hotel with nice rooms and the staff were very helpful. We both had a spa treatment which couldn't have been nicer and we also used the wonderful spa pool which works wonders for your back and neck! Looking forward to another visit already! :)

This was a brilliant day from start to finish. No waiting around, plenty of staff on. The wedding dinner was out of this world, hot, tasty, and plenty of it. Beautiful setting. And beautiful rooms. I highly recommend.

Booked this hotel to spend a few nights in after a day out sightseeing in Derry with the intention of seeing a bit of the inishowen peninsula while we were there and the location worked out well for both places.
The hotel is in a nice setting amidst a 9 hole golf course and on the waters edge. There's a nice decked area overlooking the water where you can have a drink. The general foyer and bar are otherwise a bit muddled up and sprawling so there's not much atmosphere. There was no music on so late at night an option is to gatecrash a wedding, as there seem to be plenty on ( we personally didn't do it, but a friend of mine did on another occasion)
The breakfast could do better. Too many people rushing about. Tea/coffee/ toast was brought to the table on one of the days but if it's busy ie post wedding, they seem to leave out those large vat's of tea etc and you have to make your own toast. Not good therefore as a four star.
The restaurant itself has a great view and the evening meal we had there was nice, not brilliant but ok. They also do bar snacks which are better for the kids. Plenty of vending machines for choc treats too.
The gym was fairly good. If I'm fussy I could say that the treadmills are a bit worn and therefore slippy underfoot and the TV's are in a stupid position which makes running and watching tricky but hey I only went there for a wee 3mile run to counterbalance the vending machines ;)
The kids loved both the pool and the kids club which was managed well by two lovely girls.
We had a suite interconnecting with a double via a small seating area / living room. It was good for us 2+3. Comfy bed. Not too hot in the room for sleeping.
Would I go back? Not as a couple but as a base with the kids, maybe.
