“Amazing Views ... charming building ... Great Tapas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

The view on the terrace is simply amazing ... we had a big room with a balcony, I would highly recommend this hotel ... our big surprise was the restaurant, the menu on paper looked like the usual tappas menu (which after about a week ... we were getitng less excited about) Well ... the food was different and delicious ... I highly recommend their dining room, especially that the view form the hige wall to wall window is spectacular. Bon apetit!!!

My husband and I stayed here for just one night as a kind of "buffer" between 3 busy days in Seville during the Feria de Abril and before 3 nights of camping in Grazalema. It fit the bill! We left clean, well rested, well fed, and rejuvenated. On checking in, we upgraded to a balcony/terrace room, which gave us some space to dry some laundry, as well as some amazing views over the valley! Arcos de la Frontera is a gorgeous and friendly place. We got a wonderful lunch near the parador as part of our walking tour of the town after checking in, and in the evening did a tapas crawl, which got us tipsy, full, and happy. The front desk staff were very helpful and assisted us with finding the bus schedule to Grazalema the next day, as we did not have a car on this trip - not that we would want to drive in Arcos! Would love to come back to this place someday and take in the views again.

Great location book a balcony room with a view helpful staff good breakfast and ok tapas dinner worth eating in one night and out the next if staying 2nights. Park at the paseo de andalucia car park at the bottom of the hill, walk or taxi up with luggage . Parking is available in the square by the hotel but often no spaces and roads and very narrow.Try alcaravan for a simple freshly cooked dinner

Room Tip: Worth paying extra for a balcony and view

Slightly faded grandeur with exquisite views. Lovely white cliff village well worth a visit. For those driving the narrow streets are challenging, there is a square outside the hotel where there is limited parking but the self appointed traffic warden is on the prowl for tips. Front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. There is public parking at the base of the hill about a 10 minute walk. Relaxed and peaceful stay.

Room Tip: The additional cost for a balcony room is warranted.

We stayed here for one night last week and apart from the drive out of the town which was a little fraught the whole experience was wonderful. The Parador offered 2 types of room those with a view and those without. We decided that 30 Euro for a view was a little over the top especially when we could sit on the large verandars or take in the sights from the restaurant. Talking of the restaurant the food at both Breakfast and dinner was first class and exceptionally good value. The staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. A must is a purchase of biscuits from the ajoining convent. Well worth the visit.

Room Tip: We had room 2 which overlooked the square. Only worth paying the extra for the view if you plan to...

On a brief tour of some of the wonderful natural parks of Andalucia we stayed at this lovely parador. We had booked a room with a balcony looking out over the plains - what a view and a huge balcony but perhaps not for those that don't like heights - the drop below is spectacular. They do have rooms facing into the square. The parador was charming with interesting décor and a lovely central courtyard. We stayed for one night and enjoyed an excellent buffet breakfast - once again with great views. Several previous reviews have commented on the difficult access by car - to be quite honest we found this to be fairly straightforward though we only had a Fiat 500 - the last part before you enter the square is quite narrow but we got parked ok and locals were very helpful.

Room Tip: Go for a room with a balcony facing out if you don't mind heights

My husband and I stayed here in October of 2011. We had a great balcony view of the valley. The lady gave us the best room in the hotel because it was my husbands birthday. He turned 55 which enabled us to get a senior discount of 30%. Paraders are pricey, but if you can afford it are great places to stay. We didn't want to leave the balcony and ate our breakfast and dinner out on it. My husband was mesmerized by the view and took lots od pictures. The room was large although a little dated. Driving around Arcos de la Frontera (or the pueblos blancos, period) is quite difficult, but lots of fun. The staff was very nice and the place was quite and clean. Was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.
