Came here with friends during our annual Touraine Primeur visit. Had the fish soup to start which tasted like it came out of the ubiquitous large 'soupe de poisson' jar sold in every French hypermarche and not a good one at that.

Followed that with fresh moules & frites - mussels were very small and tasteless in a insipid broth and the frites were undercooked, floppy and cold.

As we had lunched earlier in the afternoon on superb fresh oysters and sardines from the visiting fisherfolk from Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie (lovely, friendly and outstandingly hospitable people - must visit there some time in the future), it really was a sad let-down.

The only saving grace was the 'Colonel' sorbet to finish, and if you screw that up you deserve to be shotI

Not a great experience, lousy value and probably won't go back.

However, on the way out the pizzas did look good............. Unfortunately, a bit late by then!

It was our first night in France, on our honeymoon, and we had a great experience. The restaurant is down an adorable alley and it was so romantic wandering the streets of this old French village and finding this cute place! The service could not have been more gracious. Upon learning it was our honeymoon the owner brought us champagne on the house. We had delicious escargot to start, followed by a great tagliatelle carbonara and a savory crepe. Last but not least was a Nutella crepe. Yummy. But even better than the food was the friendly atmosphere. Locals stopped by our table to chat with us about our wedding, their visit to the US years ago, and sites we should be sure to see. Overall a great first night away!

Sat outside to start with. Male waiter was really helpful with the menu, so far so good. Then came across the lady ...we asked to now sit inside as we were cold (it was half empty inside) and was told NO as there were no tables for 2. Kinda put a whole damper on the experience, a shame as the food was quite good. And to top it all when I went in to pay there were still tables inside empty and a stoney reception from the lady...

We had a lovely pizza and dessert here for dinner and it's nice sitting in the lane way on a warm evening. One of the waitresses spoke English and was very helpful.

Ate a pleasant lunch here after visiting Chenonceau chateau. The food was simple, but done well. Chevre chaud salad, seafood salad starters, mains tagliatelle with bolognaise sauce and salmon fillet. The stars were pudding - ile flottante was exceptional and chocolate mousse was also good. The service was haphazard with pudding arriving before mains, but they were charming about it. Not haute cuisine, but it was good for the price. Pleasant eating area in the alley outside in the sunshine.
