“The staff make this resort fabulous”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

I stayed here for a week with a group of friends. The 2 bedroomed apartment was spacious and comfortable with all the facilities we required. We organised some trips with the hotel and ate in the restaurant most evenings. The outstanding thing about the resort was the friendliness and helpfulness of all of the staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. The trips were well organised and good fun. Reception staff were happy to provide us with all kinds of information. The restaurant provided good food and a welcoming atmosphere at a reasonable price. The swimming pool was great and just the right temperature. The views to the mountains, over the town of Schladming, are spectacular. All in all this was a wonderful week.

The Club is well-placed for access to the slopes or 150m to the (free) ski-bus stop. Views over the town are fantastic. We had a front-facing apartment on the top floor which over looked Schladming. The apartment had 1 double bedroom and a double sofa, a small kitchen, bathroom with shower over the bath, lounge with small table and enough seating for 6 people and lots of storage space. They are very well furnished, with linen, flat screen TVs, and iPod docks throughout.
It has a lovely swimming pool (but the water is cold), Sauna (it is custom to remove your swim wear, but you can put a towel around, or go naked as some people do). There is restaurant with good food and wine. Lovely waiter called Daniel that is more than happy to help. The reception staff are very helpful. On arrival I had a bottle of wine waiting in the apartment as it was my birthday while we were there.

It takes 10-15 minutes to walk downhill to the supermarket and into the town.

The Club is ideally located to visit Salzburg.

Room Tip: Front facing, preferably the top floor. (room 601)

We stayed here with friends in two apartments for the skiing. The apartments were clean, comfortable, and modern, with small kitchens for breakfast, although cooking more high quality meals for 4 or more would have been more challenging. They were furnished well, with good linen too, flat screen TVs, and iPod docks throughout.

The Club is well-placed for access to the slopes directly - a walk of 100m and a short ski across a track to join the main piste if there's enough snow, or a walk of 300m if there isn't; or 150m to the (free) ski-bus stop. Views over the town are great if you are in a front-facing apartment. It's 4 stories high, with a nice swimming pool and facilities, and a decent restaurant with good wine as well. The reception staff are superbly helpful.

It takes 10-15 minutes to walk downhill to the supermarket and into the town, which has all facilities. Taxis are readily available, although it's 12 Euros one-way into Schladming.

Room Tip: A front room!

Stayed in the Alpine Club for 10 days in the fall of 2012. The accommodations were spacious, clean and practical. The Alpine Club overlooks the wonderful and picturesque town of Schladming. We used the Alpine Club as a jumping off point to visit Vienna, Bavaria, and Salzburg. We even made a day trip to Venice. It served us well. The staff were courteous and helpful. We felt at home from day one. We can’t wait to goback.

Stayed here at the end of June of this year. It was our first time staying here and would go back again. The place was nice and clean. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment over looking the town. There was lots to do and see in the area.

Situated in the lovely town of Schladming in Styria, the Alpine Club has access to a beautiful part of Austria. It has a great view over the town. We rented great bikes and went off cycling along one of the mountain streams. We also drove to some of the restaurants up in the hills and enjoyed their beautiful food and service and even coincided with the event of music in the hills. Excellent hiking opportunities at whatever level you would like.

Room Tip: A room overlooking the town of Schladming would be the ideal.
