We stayed for 2 nights at Buscot Manor, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The house is stunning and full of character, with the rooms beautifully decorated with a tranquil atmosphere. and just a few minutes walk from the river. The four poster bed we stayed in was just heaven, as was the gorgeous stand alone bath,so luxurious! The massive breakfast was fantastic...I genuinely didn't know what to have, there was such a choice! The hostess Romney is a delight, so friendly and attentive, we felt really at home during our stay. Buscot Manor is how bed and breakfasts should be, full of charm, atmosphere, reasonably priced, peaceful and near to local ameneties. When we visit the area again we will definately be booking a room at the Manor, its fab, I recommend it to anyone visiting the area, and looking for a bit of affordable luxury.

We were after a 1 night escape from the big smoke and found Buscot Manor in the top 50 B+Bs online. But this place is so much more than a B+B. Romney and her daughter welcomed us in as family and right from the word go we were made to feel at complete ease in her beautiful house. The room was immaculate with 4 poster bed and antique furniture and a dedicated bathroom with free standing bath - serious treat! From London is was a very easy drive. In the evening we ate locally and the nearest pub dates back to 1220AD! My advice is not to eat too much in the evening as the breakfast is just awesome incl fresh fruits, pastries and then a full english breakfast. We left fully recharged but have already threatened to return soon! Thank you for looking after us so well.

We stayed there for 3 nights with our baby daughter (1 1/2 years old) and it was fantastic! The rooms are really tastefully decorated, the breakfast is sumptuous, the private bathroom (with freestanding bath) was great for a relaxing soak, and Romney was a wonderful hostess, who made us feel really welcome from the moment we walked in. Despite the fact we visited in the middle of winter, the whole house was wonderfully warm, with excellent heating and good, old-fashioned thick walls! However, the real highlight was how well it worked for us as parents with a young child. When our daughter went to bed we could go downstairs and relax in the comfortable drawing room, knowing that she was safely within earshot. If we needed to entertain her then we could walk to the river or the nearby childrens' play area (with swings, etc) - both very close - or (if time was short) make use of the drawing room downstairs. Romney very kindly lent us several toys for the duration of our stay, as well as a travel cot and high chair. We really could not have asked for anything more in a B&B. We hope to visit again one day!

We had a great stay on 29th December 2012. We stayed in the Keats room and it probably has the best bed I've ever slept in! Breakfast was sumptuous and the house itself is gorgeous as is the local area. Romney is the hostess with the mostest. Highly recommended and excellent value. Thank you Romney

We stayed in the annexe as we brought the hound. Ideal as it has its own front door.
Beautiful situation 400m from The Thames.
Romney was the perfect hostess and even gave us a lift into Lechlade where we had booked Dinner.
Excellent Breakfast shared with the four other guests.
Nothing was too much trouble. It felt like staying with friends!
Highly recommended.

We had 2 lovely nights in Buscot Manor, it was a great base to visit Oxford and Blenheim Palace. The room was great and extremely cosy, the private bathroom with a rolled top bath was amazing to a long soak at the end of a busy day. A brilliant breakfast in the grand dining room had everything you would expect and a lot more, the cooked breakfast was massive and succulent. We would definitely return and use the manor again.

Room Tip: Four poster room comes with private bathroom for extra privacy.

As a family of four with two small children, Romney and her lovely family made us feel completely at home and entirely comfortable throughout our two night stay in this beautiful National Trust property. The bedroom and bathroom were very characterful as well as being lovely and warm in the Autumnal depths of November. Our four poster bed was ultra comfortable and breakfast was sumptuous. We will definitely come back!
