If you are from a village and lived there all of your life I imagine you could be forgiven for thinking this place the best thing since slice bread.

It is nothing special. The price does not reflect quality of service or accommodation. I imagine it would be better suited to conference events, weddings and groups. The rooms are clean, big tick. The mattresses are okay, but not made by elves. The surroundings are pleasant, but one doesn't really see or feel that from inside the hotel. The breakfast is mediocre.

Yes, this place could be really special - Front of staff have a blasé attitude. I neither like or appreciate that. I am paying for a service, their job is to ensure I am delivered said service which I am paying for.

I was not expecting any special treatment whatsoever, this point must be noted. Was in a happy mood as it was my Wedding night, but they seemed to drown part of that happy feeling. The day got better the further away we got en route to Brighton.

I have stayed here several time in the past and now with the current owner
The hotel is clean and comfortable with good levels of service
The food served is of very good standard and value
I would recommend this hotel for a nights stay at any time
One thing to mention is the strange art on the wall in my suite, a large painted red rose which is in a room with a four poster bed and a chaise lounge and a goat skin on the floor
I'm not sure if all the executive rooms are like this, however it made a nice distraction

I was looking for a hotel at a very reasonable rate - this one did NOT DISAPPOINT - I put that in capital letters as people are very quick to complain - The hotel pictures are pretty much what you get - it was excellent - from the start - nice reception - nice room, very comfortable bed (important!) good facilities in the room, all you need. The pool, sauna, steam room and jaccuzi a bonus especially considering the price. There are other hotels in T. Wells I have stayed in which were more expensive and non of them have the facilities that this hotel has. Pick this one over any of those any day. The restaurant meal was also really nice, very attentive service. Overall I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Room 244 - very nice room, clea, comfortable and I liked the choice of teas/coffee - faultless for the price!

Myself, hubby and friends went here a few days before xmas for a few nights to celebrate my 50th birthday, we had a fab time, The pool, steam room and sauna were a luxury and very welcome on a cold rainy day. The hotel was not busy so we had these to ourself most of the time, we were completely spoilt and we loved it.

The staff in the restaurant sang happy birthday which made it really special. This is a fab place if you want to get away for a few days and have the option to do some shopping(Tunbridge Wells) or just relax.

The staff were friendly and very accomodating. Excellent value for money, clean and very comfortable.

Room Tip: We had rroms 147 & 149. Room 147 looks over the pool complex so you can see how busy it is. Room 149 overlooked the courtyard which was very pleasant.
