Had a great time at pugmarks wayanad during our honeymoon. We stayed there for couple of days and loved the place a lot. Especially the privacy and closeness to nature is superb. The cottage stay is really above the mark with good rooms. The staff (Shinoj and one cook) were really helpful and friendly. Had a great jungle safari and was able to see lot of wild life. Finally we felt two days are too short in wayanad. We would definitely visit pugmarks again within an year.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- The Lodge: Nothing could best explain the philosophy at Pugmarks than Byron's lines. Neatly tucked away in a five acre coffee plantation are charming wooden cottage tents and wooden suites; an inviting place to be miles away from anywhere of consequence. Hemmed by the elephant corridor on one side and the thick foliage of the forest on the other, Pugmarks Jungle Lodge is Wayanad’s very own nature retreat, where being amidst nature is just a way of living. Trying to recreate the essence of being close to nature, the five acres of landscaped coffee plantation is adorned with quaint wooden and tented cottages. The lodges have been built utilizing ethnic material and the skill of local craftsmen. Classic hand carved wooden furniture, and custom made beddings, which took our seven craftsmen more than twenty days and modern bath facilities, sum up the accommodation facilities at Pugmarks Jungle Lodge. ... more less
