“Very Good resort”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2013

Airawat resort is very good option to stay in Diveagar. I visited on 25th to 27th December 2013. It is very calm place to stay. Rooms are clean and hygenic, although they do not have food facility but caretaker Mr. Rupesh can provide you with tea/coffee. Also there are many eating options nearby but all are only kokani food. You must try Solkadi and Ukdiche Modak.
Beach is at 10 minutes walking distance. Please carry enough cash as there is no ATM centre in Diveagar, you can find SBI ATM at Borli Panchatan which is just 5 KM from Diveagar.

Room Tip: Please carry enough cash as there are no ATM's in Diveagar.

We had an excellent experience here. Very beautiful and calm place to spend few days with family. Good space for children to play and run around. Parking was not a problem. Resort is neatly maintained and clean. Rooms are also in very good condition with warm water available. It has homely feeling. The care taker was there all the time for help.I really love the place and the greenery around , it’s very near to beach(10 mins walking distance).Wadi behind is best to spend some time with nature. Very affordable for pleasant stay. Will definitely like to go next time as well as recommend this place for good holiday stay to others.

We have been here last year when the resort was newly done up. Our booking of 2 rooms was confirmed on phone but when we reached there, the booking of 1 room was already allotted to some other family. Things moved quite fast when I contacted the owner in Pune. After waiting for 30-45 mins we got a room vacated. Now the rooms are spacious, well-ventilated and bright. The bathrooms are clean with ample hot/ cold water The staff is also very quick and ready for any assistance all the time. The sit outs are specially nice and you can enjoy breakfast, snacks together quietly.
Overall its a nice property and well-maintained. It should keep its standards becoz many-a-times good properties loose their charm after they establish and people get carried away by the commercialisation.

Very nice and decent ambiance. Rooms are well maintained and spacious. They are well equipped with all necessary amenities.
They have a very big and well maintained plantation at the back of the resort which makes you crazy, as you wont be able to see so much of greenery anywhere in any other resorts.

Will definitely like to recommend the resort to my friends.

Room Tip: Definitely go for the rooms on the upper floor, you will be able to enjoy a big open terrace.

Airawat is a 2-storeyed structure with about 5-6 rooms in it. Its a homestay but doesnt offer any food. The rooms are clean and neat. They have a gas-powered heating system for the bathrooms. The place appears fairly new and therefore its modern. Finding the location was not easy, as the directions provided on maps was not adequate, so please ask for good directions. It is located inland, and getting to the beach will take around 10 minutes with a short drive and walk. Considering the rates, the place is definitely worth it.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
We are surrounded by over 500 trees which are for you to enjoy right at your doorstep. Diveagar is an ideal weekend getaway away from city crowd, but be prepared to be surprised by the simplicity and calmness offered by this place. Diveagar is a place situated in Konkan coast of Maharashtra. It is approximately 18 km. from Shrivardhan. Diveagar is just like any other village situated on the Konkan coast, but the most important attraction of this village is the discovery of Ganesh idol made of pure gold. The other attraction of this village is the beach, a 6 km long stretch with white sand and clear water. At one end of the beach is a fishing settlement, while the other end has a sanctuary of migratory seagulls. Diveagar is just like any other small sleepy Konkan village, beautiful beach, and traditional homes. Diveagar is an ideal weekend getaway away from city crowd, but be prepared to be surprised by the simplicity and calmness offered by this place. The beach contains a number of Suru trees (Casuarina), which are common to coastal Maharashtra. The access to the beach has a dense cover of Belu trees, which are otherwise uncommon in the area. Another major attraction in Diveagar village is a temple of Lord Ganesh. The idol has a mask which is made of pure gold. This mask was discovered by Mrs. Patil, a few decades back buried along with other treasure in a thick copper trunk in her beetle farm, opposite Abhyankar's House. Diveagar is a popular beach destination along with nearby towns of Shrivardhan Origin of the Peshwas and Harihareshwar. Sand Bubble Crabs can be found on the beach and at nearby Harihareshwar one can find Dolphins. ... more   less
