I have just spent a week at the Hotel Irida in Kythera and can recommend this hotel highly. It is a family business owned by George and he really does go out of his way to make you stay easy and comfortable.
The hotel is built so that most rooms have ocean views back towards mainland Greece and if you get up early enough you will be rewarded with a magnificent sunrise.
The rooms are cleaned daily, and are modern, spacious and air conditioned.
Breakfast in the morning is hearty and George keeps the bar open until very late.
Overall a very enjoyable stay.

September 2017, we stayed 2 weeks in Irida Hotel in Agia Pelagia on the beautifull Island Kythira. The staff and the owner were very friendly and helpfull. The room was very clean with a beautifull view over the sea from the balcony. An excellent breakfast is served and the hotel is located at walking distance from the center of Agia Pelagia were you can find a lot of tavernas near the sea.

I can certainly recommend this hotel for travellers who want to discover the real Greece (Kythira is a must) and who want to stay in comfortable conditions on an excellent price/quality ratio.

Room tip: All rooms have a balcony with seaview

Nice hotel in Agia Pelagia (Kythira), approx. 10 minutes walk to the nearest sandy beach. Staff at the top service, the hotel owner always polite helpful. All rooms have view to the sea. The cleanliness is remarquable.
Some disturbances with the wi-fi only.

Room tip: All rooms have view to the sea

Plus: Very polite and accommodating staff. The rooms were very clean. The view to the sea was excellent. Breakfast was quite satisfying for a hotel of this category.
Minus: Breakfast was not always ready on the prespecified time and was not replenished on time. There was no mosquito net on the windows. Hotel's location on the north side of the island is relatively remote from the island's main village (Chora) and the most appreciated beaches of the south part of Kythira.

We spent one week in Irida Hotel and had good stay here. The so-called suite room had a big room with single beds united in a king size bed and another big one with 2 single beds. Small toilet with shower and no window but comfortable and with all the necessary. And a nice terrace looking towards the sea. The breakfast was good, all the mornings the same, but with everything we could desire. Unfortunately, only Greek coffee! But we could survive!
