Really enjoyed our stay at the cottage which has character and charm as well as everything required to spend a comfortable holiday.
The gardens are secluded and peaceful with views over the fields and the pool is the perfect size and depth for all ages.
The location is within easy distance for visits to the coast or exploring places of interest in the area.
Communication withTim & Maite, if required, was first class.
We had a lovely weekend at the cottage, which was very clean, spacious, well equipped & comfortable. The pool area was a peaceful sun trap providing a lovely space to relax with a book, & the water was surprisingly warm. We ate at great pub just a few minutes drive away & went shopping at the nearby designer retail outlet.
Communication with Tim & Maite was excellent & I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
I have just returned from our first trip to Plantagenet Cottage with my young family. We had such a wonderful time - it seems Maite and Tim have thought of everything.
The cottage itself is utterly beautiful, with thoughtful modernisation and all mod cons (quick internet, sensor lights in the hall for late night trips to the loo, Netflix, posh oven etc). The beds are ridiculously comfortable, the towels are fluffy and the welcome pack included the most delicious butter I've ever eaten.
The cottage is set in a stunning, very large garden with outside seating, a swing and an AMAZING POOL. Our two kids (5 and 2) had an absolute ball in there; it's heated and fairly shallow, meaning my 5-year old was always in-depth. We "went swimming" at least four times a day, which was such a treat.
We spent most of our time at the cottage, except for a fantastic day out at Leeds Castle - plus a few trips to the fantastic farm shop up the road.
Highly, highly recommended. My husband is a fusspot and even *he* was delighted... he was also able to join us via the 35 minute high-speed train from London.
such a beautiful garden with a lovely view over fields and a castle.
the inside is great too - beautifully furnished - all the furniture feels one off like it's got a much history as the cottage itself.
i stayed there with some friends. we had a party in the eve and relaxed in the day. it was perfect. it's private spacious and homely. Loved it and would love to still be there!
We loved our stay at Plantagenet Cottage. The inside is beautifully furnished with a living area that is fab for dinner parties. The garden is large and very peaceful. There's also a pool and a swing which are great fun! Definitely recommend!
We stayed at Plantagenet Cottage whilst attending a wedding nearby. We were all gutted not to have more time to spend there, as the property was so beautiful. The inside has been decorated to a very high standard, with everything you could need. The garden is gorgeous too, and although we didn't try the pool it would be a big bonus in the summer. Tim and Maite were very helpful and communicative, and we would highly recommend the cottage.
You know you have found something perfect when you return a month later!
The cottage, has a real sense of history as soon as you open the door, and with the touches of exposed brick work, you start to realise just how old it is!. The large garden doesn't disappoint either with its abundance of flora and fauna. The beautiful views across to Eastwell Manor make the setting even more charming and the child friendly heated pool and decking area is idyllic for relaxing around. Owners, Tim and Maite couldn't be more accommodating, everything has been thoughtfully provided from luxury bedding and towels, to the welcome butter and milk. We wouldn't hesitate to return again, to enjoy what we consider to be our little hidden gem of Boughton Lees, Kent.
