We came across this beautiful hall almost by accident. It is a delightful place to visit with very friendly and informative room guides. The Tea Room serves a good range of cakes, including gluten free options, along with soups, sandwiches, tea and freshly brewed coffee. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

My husband and I went for an afternoon tea, which was very nice, big pot it tea with proper tea cups, plenty of sandwiches and enough cake too with a scone and clotted cream and Jam, delicious, thank you. The house was lovely, there are guides in different rooms to give you a little more info if you require than the fact sheets provided. An elderly gentleman discussed Napoleon with us and was so lovely as was the elderly lady in the downstairs room (expect they are husband and wife). Then on to the gardens, although we are getting to the end of the season the gardens were so pretty beautiful oranges and yellows with loads of butterflies and a very friendly ginger cat. Sadly ran out of time as we would have loved to have walk round the Lake. The staff were very nice how lucky they are to work In Such beautiful surroundings. Thank you

We visited Kiplin Hall on our annual visit to The Yorkshire Dales. Very interesting House with a lovely atmosphere and lovely and knowledgeable house volunteers. The walled garden is beautiful and there is a lovely walk round the lake. The house has a lovely tea room. I would recommend a visit to Kiplin Hall

Very welcome arrival with tea & coffee and homemade biscuits, followed by a very informative guided tour. We had lunch of soup & sandwiches and beautiful homemade cakes to follow. A lovely place to visit with the most exquisite tearoom. The gardens and lake are wonderful - you can almost imagine Mr Darcy emerging from the lake. A must visit little gem In Yorkshire.

We visited the house. It was very informative and personable as it’s not run by an organisation but by volunteers who love the property and have worked hard to save it and keep it open.
It meant you could walk all around the rooms (as opposed to parts of the room being cordoned off) and have very informative conversations with the volunteers in each room about the history of the house and the families.
It was such a treat to have tea served in the main hall of the house as you come in - very nice home made cakes and scones!
