We stayed only one night here on our way up to Skye and almost wanted to stay for the rest of the holiday! It is a beautiful house and our room, a huge four poster, was absolutely stunning. Very high quality furnishings, and a lovely spacious bathroom, both with great attention to detail. Hope to go back again soon for a longer stay.

A fantastic B&B located on the outskirts of Gretna in Dumfrieshire.
The house is at the end of a small track that goes up a little hill. Keep going down the laneway past the first B&B and you will find it.
The house is quite a large country house.
We had one of the upstairs double rooms with a four poster that had been beautifully decorated. No expense has been spared on the furniture and upholstery. The bathroom was modern with a double headed shower.

A magnificent choice of breakfasts was offered. This was taken in the dining room next to the open log fire.

Flo and Paul are lovely hosts who made this stay a warm and welcoming one.

I have just read the review with regard to Berryburn and felt I must make my feelings known.
What a wonderful place, the home is immaculate throughout, the rooms are on a par to those you would find in a five star hotel and the hospitality is great - you really feel like you are staying with friends, who just happen to have a wonderful house!
We stayed to celebrate a special occasion and Flo and Paul went out of their way to make it really special, a time that would never be forgotten.
What a wonderful place to start your married life - at £80.00 a night you can have the most wonderful experience in the most romantic of surroundings, without breaking the bank.
We will return again and again - whomever said heaven is a place on earth had obviously stayed at Berryburn.
Thank you Flo and Paul it was wonderful.

A one night stopover at a B&B you don't know is always a bit of a worry but talk about falling on our feet at the Berryburn (about 3 miles outside Gretna Green) is a complete under statement.

You find the Berryburn up a very small closely wooded country lane and are immediately struck when arriving by the impressive frontage of a former 1800s Manse surrounded by open fields.

The welcome from Flo & Paul is friendly and from that first moment all the way through to when we left the hospitality and friendliness was second to none.

The whole house feels welcoming and homely and the work that's gone into making it a quality place to enjoy has to be seen to be believed. There are 2 double rooms (both 4 poster beds) and 2 singles (with 4'6" beds) all with quality bathrooms and the whole decor gives the feel of newness & quality. Views overlook the countryside. To check it out on their web site Berryburnhouse and I can assure the website doesn't misrepresent.

Breakfast was excellent and again Flo And Paul couldn't do enough for us - we left feeling we'd made two new friends.

I know wedding parties are welcome and at the price (£80/room!) and hospitality I don't see how any other hotel in Gretna Green can match the experience. Thanks Flo & Paul for a great stop over, we'll be back
