We had a super week in Solent Breezes. The accommodation was superb! We had absolutely everything we could have asked for and more! Every item was top quality, from bedding to towels, crockery and furnishings. I came home with lots of ideas for our house and a photo of the gorgeous coffee table. The water bed was incredibly comfortable, we sleep in it on the 1st night and then Mum and Dad for the remainder of the week and Mum said it even stopped Dad snoring!!
The views were wonderful and we saw so many Cruisers coming and going, long boats and swimmers. The binoculars were really handy, we just spent lots of time looking out across the beautiful view but did also go to The New Forest, Mottisfont-the roses were the best we've ever seen. We also went on the pink ferry to Warsash. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone and hope to go back ourselves very soon!!
Pauline, Giles and family could not have been more helpful with their advise and attention to detail which was much appreciated.
Just arrived back from a weekend break to Solent Shores cottage, we had such a wonderful time and could not fault anything at all.... The cottage is fantastic, bigger than I expected. Beautifully decorated inside and complimented by the most amazing, unobstructed view of the Solent you could ever wish for. We had a wonderful warm welcome from the owner Pauline, and found that literally everything had been taken care of .......even the small touches like binoculars to take in the gorgeous view. Felt really spoilt.
Will definitely be returning.
We had a most enjoyable week in this Solent shores cottage. There was excellent communication with the owners prior to our visit and they were very welcoming on arrival. The fixtures and fittings were of an extremely high standard from the hot tub to the water bed and the reclining chair and setees. A lot of thought had gone into the decoration and everything we might need to enhance our stay (e.g. binoculars and disposable BBQ). The view was outstanding and we especially enjoyed watching the cruise liners and large container ships. The pebbly beach was a short walk away and although we didn't stroll along the beach at low tide, I'm sure this would be very pleasant for those more energetic visitors.
The week we stayed was very quiet on the Solent Breezes site. The weather was rather cool and breezy so we didn't try the swimming pool and we never got to go to the bar but we did visit the shop which seemed to stock all basic provisions. The access to the site was along a road with sixteen traffic calmers but we got used to them. It just meant taking it slowly and we limited our trips out to once a day. The Nook and Cranny restaurant nearby is quite expensive but excellent.
I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in pleasant surroundings with a touch of luxury.
