“Excellent home cooked Mexican food”
Reviewed April 5, 2014

Worth the walk from the Marina for great value Mexican food, an eclectic setting and lovely people. Advisable to book - we only got a table as we arrived early and they were fully booked later

“Great Mexican Restaurant”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

We visited because of the reviews we had read on tripadvisor. The restaurant lived up to the reviews and was one of the best mexican meals we all had. The restaurant can be hard to find since it's not at the marina but a little away. At night is easy to find because it's lit up. Great value meals.

“Best mexican ever”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

Mexican food, or Tex-Mex food more accurately is a perennial let-down. Nachos are something on paper that should be simple and tasty, but the UK chains chronically over price, under top and over cook them. At Rosa's they were 4 euros for a plate of tortillas hidden beneath a sea of fresh salsa, cheese, guacamole, refried beans and sour cream. Bloody marvellous.
I had Chilli Collorado, which somehow was even better than the nachos, with a thinner more broth style feel than chilli I'm used to in UK I was initially worried until the first mouthful when I was blown away all washed down with a tequila sunrise.
Packed on a Sunday night when the rest of the town was dead, it's easy to see why.
Me gusta mucho!

“Fantastic”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

After seeing this restaurant on trip advisor, we decided to have a night away from the Marina and give it a try. We were so happy we did and ended up returning a few nights later after both having cravings for another portion of their fantastic nachos. Huge portions, very drinkable and very cheap house wine. This place is made by the beautiful outdoor terrace area with plants growing all over it. Very beautiful to sit out on an evening. Our bill was only 40euro for a shared starter of nachos (big enough for two), a main course each (we tried burritos and tacos- would recommend both) and a bottle of wine. A fraction of the price we were paying on the Marina. Staff were friendly and remembered us when we returned on the second night. Give it a try if you fancy a change from the Marina.

“Great little place!”
Reviewed September 13, 2013 via mobile

If you are prepared to walk 10 minutes away from the bright lights (and high prices) of the marina, then this small Mexican restaurant is well worth a visit. Don't make the mistake we did though and go on a Tuesday evening as it is closed!
Anyway, we returned the following night and had a lovely meal. The menu, although limited, covers all the usual fajita/burrito/enchilada bases, and for non-carnivores, they will do any of them in veggie options.

We found the food tasty, well spiced and nicely presented. Good friendly service, and as a bonus, some of the cheapest restaurant beer we had in the Algarve - Sagres at €1.50 a bottle.
