Great little place. Cheap and cheerful. Room and balcony very spacious. We asked for a room facing the road rather than the pool as I had read on reviews that it gets the sun in the afternoon. So from about 3pm when we got back from sightseeing we got plenty of sun. Like the reviews say it us just a short walk to the marina and spar supermarket (10-15minutes). They do run a free shuttle to the marina if u get tired of walking it or have a lot of shopping (see pic). It was a cheap wk away for us but I do feel it is quite an expensive resort to eat out at, most meals for us with one drink came out at 40-50euros and this was in the courtyard area where it is a little cheaper. Expect to pay 7-10 euro for a gin and tonic but there are cheaper places offering happy hours with beer and wine for 2euros. Meals at the courtyard are generally cheaper than the marina and often if you get invited in by someone promoting a restaurant you can get discount or a free drink.
We caught the bus to loule and albufuria and it was approx 4.25 each way per person but the bus time tables aren't very frequent and the albufuria bus stops about a mile from town so it's a little tricky to get back again but happy to advise if interested. One day we had rain so caught an uber to the big MAR shopping and outlet centre it cost approx 30euro return and I must say the uber drivers were excellent. They had a big Ikea there and Primark.
Walked into quarteria but not a great deal going on, for us wasn't worth it but might b better on market day. But caught the bus to loule from here.
All in all we had a great week. Cheap to get to and stay but not that cheap when your there. Apartments kept very clean, basic but suited us fine. Enjoyed watching the woodpeckers from our balcony and the comfy sitting area as well as the massive balcony.
Room had a freezer, hob, microwave and toaster. Great for knocking up a few quick eats. Maids come and ckean daily and change towels, empty nins etc. Price of wine in local supermarket approx 2 euro a bottle and not bad for the money so had many a bottle on the balcony.
Lovely beaches.
Normal check out is 11am but staff let us keep on the room until 2pm when we left for airport for no extra charge (probably as it was quiet but if u don't ask you don't get!).
Poolside is very quiet no music but that suited us. Very sheltered sun trap. Pool freezing so only managed a couple of lengths. Little snack bar too.
All in all great value. Payed a lot more for a lot less. Happy to advise if you want any extra info

Stooped here for 6 nights from 14/04.
The apartments were clean and tidy, cleaners in everyday, towels changed and a sweep up. .All members of staff charming and polite.
Its a basic type hotel, but thats what we were expecting, and were more than happy with the accommodation. The pool area is mainly grassed, and was fairly quiet, so no issues with sunbeds. Only managed to dangle feet in the pool, and it was cold.
The hotel is situated off a quiet street, 15mins walk to the marina, 10min walk to Spar and 15min walk to the old village, which is worth the walk to pass a couple of hours.
Weather wise, 2 days of rain, 4 days of sun, Sunny days spent at the beach or by the pool, rainy days wandering round marina(not much else to do).
Vilamoura itself is based around the marina, which is nt cheap. step a street back and you ll find cheaper, but you wont find cheap.
Overall, price of accommodation and getting there, very reasonable. eating/drinking out, not so reasonable.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband. We weren't expecting much as the room and flight from UK were only £119pp. We were pleasantly surprised.

The positives....

All rooms within the apartment were clean and very spacious, as we're the corridors, external grounds, pool, reception etc.

The staff always had a smile on thier faces.

There was lots of storage space in the bedroom and living area.

The shower pressure was great and there were no issues with hot water.

The towels and bedding were all crisp white and there was no shortage of either.

There was a nice communal lounge with a coffee machine (which we didn't actually use but could have been useful for larger groups).

It's a pleasant short walk to the marina with a few bars, shops and wildlife (hedgehogs/cats/birds) along the way.

The negatives... I'd say we're more neutrals than negatives really as there was nothing awful.

The WiFi wasn't great but we were there to spend time together, not spend time online.

The mattresses could do with being upgraded. No springs sticking out or anything drastic, just not particularly comfortable.

Overall - If we booked another cheap and cheerful Portugal trip, we'd have no hesitation staying here again.

Just got back from a 10 day break here...

The weather started poor but that’s no one’s fault so not going to complain about that.
The apartments are well equipped with ample appliances and prep space.. a nice sized bathroom with a decent hair dryer.
The safe is 2.50 Euro’s a day.
We asked for a ground floor due to my husband’s health and we got what we asked for.. they say the lower floors are noisier but we didn’t find this..
It’s a great central location, 10-15 mins walk to the marina, there’s a couple of supermarkets just about 10 mins walk away. We loved it here and are planning to return next year.

This place was just lovely. The apartment was roomy, light and well equipped, the staff were super friendly. Hot water available at all times, and a stones throw from the gorgeous marine. The hotel/reception area was a bit dated, but who cares!! Free WiFi and a nice little bar/snack area. Perfect for s cheap and cheerful getaway with the girls. I would go back in a heartbeat.
