We were staying in the Old Village and our villa overlooked this restaurant. We ate there once and drank at the bar another night. The service was without fault from all of the staff. The food was excellent and the ambience superb. I wanted to eat here again but my chums decided against the 'eat same place twice' request!!! I would certainly go to this restaurant again even if I was not staying at the Old Village (see my review of that separately).

We were stopping in The Old Village and absolutely love this restaurant. Ate here twice this holiday and can never fault it. The setting is lovely, the staff attentive and welcoming and the food always perfect. Fatima is lovely and friendly and looks after you very well. The crab pate is to die for. The steak on the stone perfect and as you are cooking it yourself cannot complain about it being under/over cooked. We love it and will definitely be returning again and again.

We did not stay in the Old Village, we were at the Hilton not too far from the Princess Garden.
We could walk there from the Hilton, but wherever you are in Vilamoura, get a taxi to this oasis.
We had seen the Old village when we took the train ride round Vilamoura so decided to go back at night. What a surprise, so different from the Marina restaurants.
First we had drinks on the verandah. Now here is a bar with a bartender who knows all the cocktails. What fun he was. Then upstairs for a brilliant meal. Great choice and so well presented.
Staff very friendly and no rushing, unlike some in the Marina.
A must just for the ambience of the whole place at night. Dont forget to book just in case they are busy.

A group of us ate here on our last night in The Old Village and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The setting and the service was excellent. The staff were attentive, polite and nothing was too much trouble. The food was very well presented and very well cooked. There was eight of us in our party and all of us to a person was more than satisfied with our meal. The restaurant has a classy feel to it without being pretentious. I had the Pork shoulder cooked in a Portuguese style whilst my wife had the Chicken curry, both of which were excellent. Other dishes our party had included the Fish stew for two which looked fantastic. Those of us who had the desserts were also not dissapointed. Well worth a visit.

Wow! This was our absolute favourite meal in villamoura, the food was delicious, the surroundings lush (lovely as a couple having a meal out together) and the staff wonderfully attentive. An absolute must visit. This is in the old village so a 40 minute walk or 7E taxi from the marina but well worth it! I would recommend the fish cake starter and the gorgeous steak on the stone washed down by a bottle of pino :-)
