“Amazing Villa, Must stay!!!”
Reviewed September 28, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Just got back last Friday from villa Cacador. As the villa organizer i knew the lads would give me stick if i had let them down. This place was incredible, as soon as the lovely Jackie showed us round we knew this place was perfect for our stay:
Plenty of beds, 2 kitchen areas, en suite in all the rooms, large basement games room and just the best pool to name a few! Not once did we find anything wrong with the place during the stay and for a large group of fussy golfers, even they couldnt find fault!
I would like to thank Kerry and Jackie for making us welcome and the customer service was 1st class, especially as they had to send us back over all tht we left behind! (too many beers to blame for that)
About a 1 min walk to the marina which we did not mind atall, literally cost us 5 euros to get back which is soo cheap, nice breakfast around the corner which was an easy decision to make most mornings!
id literally rate our stay and holiday 10/10 and i know the rest of the lads would agree.
Brilliant!!!

“A beautiful and well situated villa with superb outdoor facilities.”
Reviewed September 19, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This property is large and impressive. The lounge/dining area is huge, with an enormous white dining table and quality lounge furniture.
Two galleries lead to the bedrooms giving the area a "baronial hall" atmosphere. The lounge opens on to a huge terrace with good outdoor dining facilities for 16+ guests, and there are two barbeques.
Beyond the terrace, the three swimming pool grassed area is just a dream. Three heated pools of different depths cater for the needs of all. There are sufficient sun loungers, chairs and tables for everyone.
The eight bedrooms are comfortable and quiet.
The villa has two small well equipped kitchens with good fridge/freezers.
In the basement is a laundry room with ironing facilities.
A surprising asset is the games room in the basement. Well equipped with pool table, table tennis, darts etc, it has a collection of sporting memorabilia around the walls. Signatures of the England football teams, a letter handwritten by Sir Don Bradman , individually signed shirts, footballs, cricket bats and much more. Fascinating for the sporting types.
The villa is a twenty minute walk from the marina, but a taxi costs only four euros (£3)

Everything is not prefect however. The bedrooms are sparsely furnished and there are a few basic maintenance issues which could be addressed by a more enthusiastic management service, but these are of a minor nature and should not spoil your holiday.

We were a large family party and the villa was ideal for our needs. It is a paradise for children. We shall certainly go back again but probably hire a car net visit.

“Brilliant Place To Stay”
Reviewed July 14, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This was our 2nd visit to Villa Cacador. We were a party of 14 females of all different ages ranging from early 30's to almost 60. Villa Cacador ticks all boxes. The pool area is fantastic and really well kept and the pool's are very clean. The villa its self has everything you need. Two kitchens with loads of fridge and freezer space. The rooms are all air conditioned with plenty of towels. We were greeted at the villa by a lovely scottish lady who explained everything we needed to know and was quite happy to take the time to tell us a bit about the surrounding area & how to get places. There are 2 BBQ's outside (although we didn't use them) and two big outdoor tables for food and drinks before venturing out for the evening. The games room in the basement is a fantastic man cave and a good place to cool down if you fancied getting out of the sun for an hour or two. We spent all our day time at the villa as it is so relaxing and has the sunshine all day with shaded areas if needed. Big garden area which is also great for kids. There is a small cafe about 5 mins from the villa if you can't be bothered cooking breakfast. The marina is about 20 mins walking distance but we just rang taxis each evening which arrived promptly and cost under €5. There are some great restaurants with food to die for and some great bars. We stuck to the ones we liked which had live music on each evening. There are Supermarkets about 10 mins walk away but I would advise to ring a taxi to come back as it's too far to carry all the food, water and wine! Whilst at the villa we were discussing where to go next year for our girls holiday but have decided to return to the Villa again as nowhere else would match up. It's great that everyone can get up at different times and you don'y have to get dressed to go to the pool or fight for sunbeds. I can't recommend this villa highly enough. I have only 1 complaint. The pool was heated and actually too warm for the 100 degree heat. I was sweating even in the pool it was like a bath!! But I can live with this being our only complaint as the place is just perfect. Can't wait to return next year. Without hesitation and I would recommend it to anyone!

“A great place to stay!”

I booked this for a stag do, there were 15 of us in the party, of all different ages (although 10 of us were mid 20's) so it was imperative to find something that suited everyone.

Villa Cacador ticked all of the boxes, the pool area was really well kept and the pool's were very clean and an incredibly inviting site when we arrived. The house was spotless and we were welcomed and introduced to the site in a friendly and relaxed manner by the owner who showed us around and was quite happy to take the time to tell us a bit about the surrounding area & how to get places.

The BBQ's were big enough to cook for everyone and there was plenty of space for all 15 of us. The games room was fantastic and a good place to cool down if you fancied getting out of the sun for an hour or two. We tended to spend a lot of time at the Villa, such was the quality of the place rather than wandering in the day times.

The Villa is convenient to the local marina (about a 25 min walk) and to the beach (about 35 mins), we walked fairly casually though so if you wanted I'm sure you could cut 5/10 mins off the time it took us. The marina's nightlife wasn't crazy but it suited us as there are a few good bars and clubs that did the job. Supermarkets are fairly close, although, if like us, you are planning to buy in bulk it's advisable to take a taxi back as the walk is just too long to be carrying crates of beer given the heat!

The airport transfers were organised through the Villa's management and we couldn't complain at all, the transfers were on time and very friendly. Throughout the whole booking process any questions that I had were answered quickly and in full & the reimbursement of the deposit was paid in a timely manner.

We all left feeling like the right choice had been made with the Villa and with absolutely no 'If only....' or 'It was good but...' which is possibly the highest compliment you can pay a place. We would definitely come back without hesitation and I would recommend it to anyone!

“Superb”
Reviewed June 1, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This villa was everything it promised to be. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The grounds are georgeous. We dined out twice that week and barbecued the rest. We dined at Julius by the marina. A lovely restaurant and very child friendly. the Cassidy group could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We were paid our deposit back within a week of returning. I would recommend this villa to anyone.

Great stay. Was welcomed by lovely Jackie who was so helpful and friendly. Also kindly left some essentials for us to have lunch.

Villa was beautiful, was clean, spacious and had all we needed including easy wifi. Alarm system was easy to use and we felt safe leaving belongings.

Kerry who we liaised with regarding booking was super efficient and responded quickly to emails in a helpful way.

3 Beautiful pools - just shame weather was not warmer.

We all plan to return next year

“Lovely Outside Area, needs major improvements”
Reviewed January 13, 2015 for a stay in September 2014

We stayed at the villa for 2 weeks in September 2014 and on our journey from the airport we became very excited to see what the villa looked like judging the properties we were passing on route....however you could not contain the look of disappointment when we arrived at Casa Cacador....what looks a beautiful building in the photos is actually a huge once beautiful building needing a major lick of paint.
Once inside we chose our rooms to find that they had all nicely made beds with fresh beddings and clean towels, we had no complaints about the bedrooms, however a point must be made on the bedrooms that had balconies...we found these to be extremely dirty and again needed a lick of paint.
The overall house was lovely...the furniture mainly the sofa in the living room and the one in the playroom needed to be thrown away not a deep clean they were filthy and we found ourselves washing sheets to put on them so we could sit in cleanliness.
The kitchen was average however for a villa that holds 16 people I imagined the kitchen to be a lot bigger and more equipped with up to date utensils than it was.
The outside area was by far the main highlight of our holiday...our children loved the pools as did we and they were cleaned by the maintenance men every day who were also lovely!
The gardens were well kept and looked lovely.
If you have any elderly members coming with you I would certainly hire a car or make sure you book taxis in advance as we were told the marina was a short walk when in fact it was quite lengthly for elderly members of our party.
The area was beautiful to walk around and we enjoyed trips up to the old village which is such a pretty area!
The marina is extremely overpriced but as expected...we did tend to eat in a lot of nights because of the time taken to walk to the marina and the price.
There is a beautiful hidden gem on the way to the marina....a bar/restaurant called Chiccos....by far the best place we ate this holiday Chicco himself is one in a million and the food was spot on :)
I forgot to mention there is a roof terrace which should provide a little getaway from the noisiness of down below...however this was also unclean and full of cigarette dumps yuck!

Management Response
Feb 17, 2015
Dear Guest

Thank you for taking the time to place a review for Villa Cacador. I am very sorry to read the negative comments and can confirm that the entire property is being painted & treated this month - we have had to wait for a period of time when there were no guests at the property and no rain. In addition I have asked our management company based in Vilamoura to provide a full report of the interior of the villa to me for review and update where required.

Regarding the distance from the villa to the marina, there is a picture on our advertising which clearly shows the villa is 1.7km from the marina, however, I am aware that you booked this holiday through an agent and therefore it must have been them who misinformed you and I apologise on their behalf for this.

I'm sorry you did not relay your concerns to our management company during your stay or myself on your return, as feedback is always welcome and I know that our management company are always available and on hand to help with any issues.

Again thank you for your review.
