“'The' Restaurant to visit in Vilamoura....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2013 via mobile

I visit Vilamoura at least 3-4 times a year and know this place really well. I eat in it every time I visit usually at least twice.

I cannot believe some of the negative reviews I have seen especially those relating to the food and service and prices. The place is owned and operated by three friends (Il Trio) who are the guys waiting the tables, and I can honestly say that I have never observed their service falling below first class with strangers and regulars alike.

They serve up some really exceptional food from a menu that ranges from pasta/pizza right throuh to a seriously mouthwatering rack of lamb with a fantastic herby crust.

Ricardo's personally selected house wines both red and white are priced at 11euros a bottle and would easily stand side by side in the UK with bottles priced at treble that.

I brought some friends there in May who have not stopped raving about it, and will be there in 3 weeks time and can't wait to return.

If you like sincere non pretentious service and extremely good food just give it a go and you will not e disappointed.

“The best Italian in Vilamoura”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013

The food at this restaurant is truly Italian. The restaurant is upstairs close to the taxi rank at the back of the marina. The waiters are very obliging. The dishes are large portions, but cooked very fresh.

“Great Food - Great Service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013

We've been to this restaurant three times and have had a great meal every time. The guys offer great service backed-up with quality Italian food. They have a good Portuguese wine selection that we don't get to see in the UK! They kindly cooked whatever our child wanted, which was off-menu and were happy to accommodate our requests too! Best restaurant we visited in Vilamoura and well worth a visit!

“Mamma Mia!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

A little bit of Italy in Portugal. Don't let the 1st floor location put you off, as once in your met with attentive, friendly staff. excellent menu where you'll have a tough time choosing your dish. Food served fresh and hot good portion size. A must visit.
