Reviewed January 16, 2014

This is a decent hotel with good rooms. Clean and good bed. the breakfast was a bit disappointing with no fresh coffee and a not too wide variation on offer.
The staff is very friendly.

overall price/quality is okay.

I would have given Frerikshof a better rating but they're just bit to pricey.
It is a nice spot with few attractions: sauna, swimming pool, bowling, you may also rent a bicycle for 7.50/day. Hotel itself is bit dated but at the same time very clean and cosy. Restaurant does the job, I'd recommend prawns on stick with lemon sauce. My room was clean, warm and spacious. There's 20 English-language TV channels. Staff is very helpful. So all in all Frerikshof is pretty decent. But EUR14 extra for breakfast is in my humble opinion way too expensive. I mean, how much would you normally pay for a toast, scrambled eggs and a cup of coffee? Especially when in the very same restaurant you get 3 course dinner for around 20quid.

It was very nice. It was very comfortable and quiet. I definitley recommend it. The beds very clean, and the bathroom was big. Also they have a great summer garden with a little pond. The all you can eat breakfast buffee it is very appetizing and you can find a good variety of things you can choose from. :)

Room Tip: We had a double room with a bathroom and we definitely took advantage of it. It is nice and clean an...

I only stayed there for One night. General atmosphere gives an impression of late 70's early 80's without much renewal. Staff is friendy. Breakfast is typically Dutch and self service. It is unfortunate that there was no fresh coffee available.
Rooms were basic and clean. The service at the bar in the evening was a bit slow, but still staff were polite.

We had a perfectly fine night in this hotel. The building looks like a former retirement home, and feels quite institutional. The hotel is nonetheless fine and very clean. With bathtub in the rooms and a small swimming pool the value for money is good. Breakfast is decent.

Nice, not too big, pool in the basement; weekdays often swimming classes as the hotel also houses a parttime daycare but when we were there (weekend) nice and quiet. Good room, with tea & coffee making and large plasma TV. Good base for walks through the countryside, e.g. a marshland on a few km's walk. Reception and service were very helpful and friendly.
Hotel has a nice enviroment and there is a lot of things to do while it's not raining (bike roads, tennis band, bigger swimming pool on the opposite side of road)

Room Tip: If you have problems with falling asleep while it's a little noisy consider taking room on the o...

Spent a weekend in the cold winter here. Reception welcome is friendly, as was the room (type superior, frontside). Restaurant was quite full on Fri evening and more quiet on Saturday; great cooking and enough choice though it's really 3/4-star pricing. (On the other side of the road there's a Chinese restaurant as fallback...)

Good room, with tea & coffee making and large plasma TV. Good base for walks through the countryside, e.g. a marshland on a few km's walk. Reception and restaurant admin can be a bit cumbersome; checkout of the guests before us took 5-10 mins each and for us it was 10+ minutes, due to errors at the restaurant and the booking website. But in the end all was resolved. On the ring road of the village, about 10 mins walk from the West railway station.
