The Regthuys has gone up in my esteem. When it opened a few years ago, it was a noisy affair: the dining room is big, with high and hard walls. Sometimes decent conversation was hard to conduct. Staff was a bit too informal as well, to my taste.
However, sound proofing has been installed, and the waiters are quiet, efficient and polite. It was a joy to dine there with my guests, the plates were beautifully decked out, and the house wines are very OK. Prices and quality are well balanced.
The interior decorating is modern, with a classical twist, and the location at the village square, and almost under the village church, is very 17-18th century.
