Went for dinner on a cold Friday evening in March. Most of the restaurants in the town were deserted, but the Valkenhof was packed - a sign of its popularity, particularly with groups of young adults.
The menu is extensive, based around steaks, seafood and tapas. My group chose calamari and French onion soup for starters, and barbecue ribs, satay and meat tapas for mains. We all loved the food, it was well-cooked, generous portions, very tasty, really delicious.
The wine list was short but good quality - we enjoyed a delicious Malbec. The ambience is warm and fun, the service was pleasant but a little slow.
Overall a good restaurant for a tasty meal in a lively venue. I'd be very happy to return.
