Not much has changed from previous review..The Ibis next door is a quick stroll and has restaurants and a lounge. Very convenient to Schopol Airport 20 minute bus ride.

Clean and cheap. Good access from and to Airport using the free shuttle bus. Probably not the best for exploring Amsterdam, but the city is easily accessed from the Airport by train (of course, it's a long stumble back if you've indulged too much). Unlike some Etap hotels (I think), this one has 24hr front desk service.

The ETAP Hotel (55 Euro double) is adjacent to its larger and more expensive (79 Euro double) cousin, the Ibis Hotel, near the Schiphol airport.

Rooms at the ETAP are more basic -- a double bed, single bunk, shower stall, and toilet booth. There is a TV but no room phone and definitely no frills.

A basic breakfast is available at 5 Euros extra.

There is a free shuttle to both hotels from the A9 hotel shuttle island (exit the terminal and go far right without crossing any traffic lanes) which takes about 20 minutes. Train fare into town is 3.10 Euro one way (20 minutes) or 5.90 Euros for unlimited round trips, so many travelers stayed here and commuted for sightseeing.

This is a clean and cheap choice for short stays in the Amsterdam area.
