“A cheap alternative to expensive city hotels in Amsterdam”
Reviewed June 16, 2012

We stayed here over Koninginnedag (Queen's Day - 30 April) While City centre hotels were charging €300 per night, we paid €70 per room inc. Breakfast (05.00 until 10.00) The rooms were clean, had a shower and toilet and slept 3 (a double plus a single bunk bed). There were vending machines for coffee and soft drinks / snacks and a bar is available and the Ibis hotel, next door. There is a shuttle bus every 20 minutes (from around 05.00 until 01.00) to the airport from where you can get the train to Amsterdam Centraal Station. Other than Breakfast there is no restaurant (although I believe there is one in the Ibis)

Was recommended this little budget hotel from a friend. It's cheap, clean and convenient with a bus transfer every 15 min or so to and from schipol airport.. Free wifi and there are vending machines in the lobby with coffee/tea and food you can microwave not at ridiculously high prices..

I've stayed at the hotel now 4 times and this is last time I will do so. The hotel location is good considering Schiphol airport is close and a hit and miss shuttle is provided. The rooms are small, but that's not a problem as it really just serves you to stay for a short night before a flight. However, the room & hotel is really not clean.

The last three times I have stayed here large groups of Eastern european teenagers are hanging around the front door, talking, smoking, drinking and making a lot of noise and the front desk will do nothing about it.

Pay attention to the shuttle to get you back to the airport, it has never been on time and you are actually better going across the car park to the sister hotel and take it from the Mecure as if they fill it up you dont get on. Make sure you leave plenty of time for this to happen.

Front desk staff really dont like their job, if you ask them anythig they huff and reply with the most stupid answers like, " we are not advised of the shuttle times as they change every day" and when asked for some cutlery to eat the microwave food they sell ( thats all they sell ) they huffed and puffed to walk 2 mts to get some for me. Dont even think about asking for change for the vending machines.

Lastly if you are daft enough to open your window at night be prepared, a swarm of mosquitos will fill your room instantly due to the lights they use on the outside of the building and all the water near to the hotel.

Room Tip: Its not worth skimping 20 or 30 euro to endure this awful hotel

We booked two rooms, for 2 adults and 3 kids. Condition of the room was very clean and good, love the beds. Our kids enjoyed the upper deck bed. Value for money.
Definately will recomend to friends and families.

Close to Schiphol and with a useful free shuttle bus to the airport - we then travelled into Amsterdam by train. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There were some noisy groups of teenagers, but they were mainly outside the hotel, and the noise levels in the room itself were very low.
