Although the staff are nice the hotel is very tired. The food is not great although pricing is steep. I ordered italian burger on one evening to come with ham in a bap with a very salty mushroom soup all over it. Revolting. The beds are so low in the room that you need a hoist to get up in the morning. It was a bonus to have some channels in different languages.
The room overlooked the road and it never got quiet and started getting busy by 6 am.I had to pay in full before staying there which was strange and so therefore had to pay again upon checking out for my meals. Window was broken and did not close properly

Room Tip: Not sure what would be a good room mine near the road and overlooking the kitchen was a no no!

An absolutely wonderful location for seeing flower fields and visiting Keukenhof. Rooms are comfortable and clean, check-in was okay but distracted as only one person answering phones and checking in. The restaurant was good food but very poor service. We had a package to include dinner and Keukenhof tickets and would not do it again. While the food in the restaurant was good it was not outstanding when compared to what is available in local restaurants and we took 3 hours (not by our choice) for dinner. Seems there is not enough employees to serve everyone and the poor young man helping us was really pushed beyond ability and the other two were just too busy to help. Didn't receive some of appetizers ordered and could catch anyone to ask. Okay to stay here but don't eat here.

We stayed here for 3 nights, an excellent location for the Keukenhof Gardens and the bulb fields and even close enough to cycle to Keukenhof on the very good bikes hired from the hotel. Or if travelling by car from the hotel to Keukenhof you avoid all the traffic congestion.
We had a deluxe room and could not fault it however the breakfast was very disappointing and certainly not up to a 4 star standard. The fried eggs had the appearance of being cooked many hours prior to serving, the scrambled eggs did not look at all appealing and the bacon left a lot to be desired. The continental breakfast was reasonable but also looked as though it had been served up a few hours earlier. Taking everything into account this was certainly not a 4 star breakfast which is a pity because the room and reception staff were very good but we did not see a chef anywhere at breakfast time and the waiting staff were somewhat surly but I suspect were under pressure due to staff economies. Due to our breakfast experiences we did not risk having an evening meal at the hotel but ate at an excellent restaurant within 400 meters walking distance from the hotel.
To summarise I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel for the room and location but if you like a good breakfast to start the day then I would suggest booking on a room only basis and eating elsewhere, perhaps at the restaurant next door and only 150 meters away if it is open!!

We had a nice stay here, it is a comfortable, basic hotel, clean, friendly, no nonsense. The rooms where we slept in the new block are no frills, no view either, but clean and functional. I was surprised this was four star, but the restaurant made up for it at dinner and breakfast. These were quality, well prepared and presented, varied. We loved the Dutch cheeses for breakfast and enjoyed the steaks for dinner. The staff were very friendly and looked after us. I have to say the location made this experience. Although you cannot see the dunes from the hotel, they are right there up a short flight of steps and through a tall pine forest. We are keen runners and we took our two spaniels every morning down to the spectacular Dutch dune landscape. We ran along pristeen sands. We were accompanied by birdsong and passed horses and the odd dog walker on our way along the stunning deserted North Sea beach. That was quite magical.

Clean rooms with all you need. Good bed. Free wi-fi.
The breakfast was perfect, a great variety of bread choices, with plenty of things to dress your slice of bread.
Friendly servants.
Irish coffee was less, no cream on it, but that was the only negative remark I can make.

We stayed here as part of a Keukenhof package and the location was great. It was easy to get to Keukenhof and brought us in (by car from the hotel) on the less busy side. The hotel could use some updating. Dinner and breakfast were good. We loved the rental bikes available.

We stayed here for 4 nights and were a bit apprehensive having read some of the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very spacious and although the decor was a bit dated, it was very clean. The bathroom was spotless. The location is lovely, with walks out on to the dunes and to the sea through a gate in the carpark. It was very peaceful at night and we weren't disturbed at all.
Breakfast was wonderful, with a huge selection of breads, cheeses, cold meats as well as bacon and eggs. The fruit salad was lovely with fresh melon, pineapple and grapes, well worth staying for!
