“Excellent modern accomodation, quiet area, great access to restuarants”
Reviewed January 16, 2015 for a stay in August 2013

Our family of 6 loved our stay in this complex. Apartment is modern, clean with all amenities
you can think of. As one of our group is disabled this apartment was great as it has a lift and a walk in shower (most hotels have showers over a bath which my mum cannot get into).
Location is a quiet residential area but plenty of restaurants within walking distance & bus stop is close. I am planning a holiday for Sept this year & hope to stay in the same complex
again. Highly recommended

This property is amazing. Ground level, the most amazing views, private dining area right by the pool. We practically had the pool to ourselves most of the time. The kitchen, indoor dining area, and living room were very spacious. It was clean, well kept, and the air conditioning worked really well (air conditioning and wifi cost extra). If you follow the coastline from this place, there is a very nice "downtown" area with many restaurants, businesses, and a park for kids. Great place to walk, and near the bus stop too for the more adventurous. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The management was very easy to deal with too, and they made sure we had everything we needed. There is a little market down the street to get some snacks, beer, wine, food etc. The kitchen is nice, and there is even a washer/dryer combo. When I return to Malta, I will always stay here. It's probably 20 minutes from the airport and not too touristy. It is more of a residential area, which was perfect. The pictures are exactly as they appear in real life. We had an awesome time here.

“Fantastic apartment, cannot fault!”
Reviewed September 6, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Myself and family stayed for 3 days in the 4 bedroom apartment (back block, 2nd floor) and 4 days in the 3 bedroom apartment (front right block, 2nd floor).

Both apartments were modern, clean, well equipped and had fantastic views. However, the view from the 3 bedroom apartment needs a special mention - it is the most fantastic view we have experienced in an apartment and what made it even better was the fact that we could watch the sun rise over the horizon every morning - absolutely beautiful.

The communal pools were clean and the pool at the bottom was often empty and very peaceful, especially in the morning. You could easily spend hours in the pool, looking out to the sea.

The air conditioning worked fantastically (don't even think about going without it, you will need it!) although the wi-fi connection could have done with some improvement!

We hired a rental car and there was always space outside of the apartment to park it, but there were also several bus stops, several convenience stores and the picturesque St. Thomas's bay within close walking distance.

Worth noting, there was a useable lift to both apartments as they were on the first floor, not the ground floor.

Overall, a fantastic apartment, I hope we get the opportunity to go here again!

“Watersedge at marsascala, SUPERB.”
Reviewed August 14, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Myself and my family stayed here for 7 nights from 25th July 2014. We found the complex just to our liking. The 3 bed apartment was well equipped with everything that we required. There was a small shop about 400 yards up the road which stocked all the supplies we needed and there were 3 bus stops on the main road if you wanted to get out and about without having to hire a car. The communal pool at watersedge is superb as i could not keep my daughter out of it. All in all a very enjoyable stay and we hope to book again for next year. Dave Paula and family, Bristol UK.

“Stunning apartment and views - very peaceful”
Reviewed August 1, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We stayed for a week in the top of the two three bed apartments and enjoyed many evenings looking out over the med at the ships that passed. The apartments are modern, nicely decorated and very spacious indeed. The views are heavenly and the shared pool at the front was nicely shaded in the afternoon, very clean and never busy.
There was a welcome tray on our arrival with a large bottle of water, tea, coffee, containers of UHT milk. Washing up liquid, cloths and dishwashers tablets were provided, plus an initial supply of loo paper. We suggested to the owner that little tablets of soap are also there on arrival and he seemed to indicate he would add these. We also suggested some more coat hangers, but unlike other reviewers found there to be plentiful towels. We managed fine without air-conditioning, even in July, as the windows and balcony doors all have mesh screens which means you can keep them open all the time to provide draughts without worrying about insects.
There is not much in the immediate area: at the top of the adjacent road there is a v small supermarket and a well stocked grocery with a larger grocery store a 10-15 minute walk away. This makes is a peaceful place to stay, but for meals out or to go somewhere with a bit of a buzz you need to catch a bus, although there is a beach café a 10 min walk away. We made a couple of trips to Valletta and also visited Mediterraneo marine park, which we heartily recommend.

“Beautiful accommodation... but unreliable management”

When we arrived at the apartment the secretary we had been in contact with by email met us to show us around the apartment. She gave us 2 keys and was very hasty in concluding the introduction to the point where we felt uncomfortable to ask further questions. I agree with the earlier review in that no hamper was provided, so we had to purchase literally everything for the stay.

That afternoon when we came back from the supermarket we discovered that the set of key we had taken with us and that was given to us by the secretary was wrong. This meant that we were locked out of the property. When we called the owner he said he would be there shortly, but 10 mins later a cleaner showed up and tried the keys to no avail. In the scorching hot sun, with 2 toddlers and boxes full of perishable foods this was not the greatest start to our holiday.

We had to yell over the windows and balcony to try waking my grandma who was napping to open the door for us. This matter was never resolved by the owner or his team. The cleaner promised to bring a new set of keys but this was never received.

In addition the communal showers had no shield and so the floor was flooded with every shower. They could do with increasing the intensity of the shower head too.

Fully equipped kitchen/ very spacious, great views. We enjoyed doing exercise on the terrace and even had a BBQ. The pool did not look like it had been cleaned in a while with lots of bugs and mouldy grit.

The local area was very lack lustre to say the least. There is very little for tourists e.g no bike hiring, nowhere to hire fishing equipment, no water sports. You have to travel out of the town to do anything!

If you want an accommodation that is comfortable, modern and spacious then this is for you. However if you want a management that treats you like a welcome guest and goes to every length to resolve any issues with the property, then run a mile from this place!

We also stayed at the owners property in Sliema and the customer service we received at the end of our stay was absolutely grotesque!

“Generally very good”
Reviewed August 8, 2013 for a stay in July 2013

These apartments are overall very nice modern and clean. We stayed here in July in a large group. We arrived late at night/early morning but there was no welcome pack - I read previous reviews and was under the impression that these were now provided but they weren't so we had to wait until the shops were open in the morning to get a drink of water. The apartments themselves were exactly as in the pictures very nice and clean to a high standard. Upon signing the rental agreement we were told air con was an extra 20 euros a day - we declined and bought 3 fans for 40 euros instead as the cost of the air con for our stay would have been 200 euros too expensive in my opinion. A few towels were provided and there was a washing machine so you had to wash these yourself as no fresh towels were ever brought. You could hire the cleaner for 40 euros an hour - we declined and cleaned the apartment ourselves but we had to buy all of the cleaning products ourselves as there wasn't even washing up liquid provided. The terrace area was lovely and clean when we arrived but by day 3 was looking a little grubby and no sign of anyone to clean it so my partner hosed it down himself when I phoned the owner he said it would be cleaned the next day but it was the day after. I think the pool was only cleaned once during our 10 day stay. The owner was easily contactable as he only lived next door and did come straight away if we had a problem. Overall these are lovely apartments but I think more cleaning is needed, more cleaning products need to be provided and charging for standard air con is cheeky in my opinion. A welcome pack would also have been lovely as we were all thirsty when we arrived and couldn't have a drink of water. For the price we paid I did expect better service.
