“Private Spacious Villa, Nice Pool, Great Outdoor Space, Poor Service”
Reviewed June 10, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Unfortunately for us, it was obvious that we were the first guests of the season, and the villa had not been aired or prepared for us - although it was clean. We arrived late Sat eve to discover that we couldn't get into the villa, as the gate had been locked by accident. It was suggested that we climbed over a 6ft wall, with an 8ft drop on the other side - to concrete. Otherwise, we had to wait an hour for someone to let us in - which we did. There was no welcome pack and the villa was dark and obviously hadn't been used for some time or aired. We were directed the wrong way (by the agent) to a restaurant, thus all ended up going to bed with no food or drink.

No useful information in the villa about immediate local facilities, just general Sardinian information.

The bathroom had a leak and there was no Wifi - although all these were all fixed in the first few days.

The villa was large with bathrooms to most rooms. Plenty of outdoor space and outdoor chairs and loungers. Pool was great for small children as had a shelf most of the way around the outside, Outdoor shower to wash off any sand from the beach. Big fridge, plenty of kitchen utensils.

As it was May, it was chilly in the night, with only old duvets in some of the rooms, Bathrooms were basic - showers terrible, although one bathroom does have a bath.

Next to a natural, sand and stone beach, but does have banks of seaweed, so limited places to sit, Further down, walking to the right is much better - about 400 metres.

Amenities within easy Walking distance: Out of the villa, turn left along the sea front / beach path to the supermarket, coffee bar (excellent value for coffee and pastries at breakfast), and the very nice Piano restaurant. All great, and child friendly too. Further along the path you will reach the marina, where there is a Pizzeria/Cafe/Bar open in the day and evening. Really nice, right on the marina edge.

We didn't hire a car, but I think it is essential if you want to see anything else. Taxis are expensive and hard to get hold of (fine from the airport) and the "blue bus" stop - to different towns is no where near.

Disappointingly, although next to the beach, due to the design of the villa, the views f to the sea are limited. There is a high hedge all around the property so you can't see the sea from the ground floor / outside. It is very private though.

Management Response
Jun 11, 2015
Thank you for the review. I’d like to inform that while we do the cleaning we also open the windows and air the place.
We are very surprised to read the gate was closed, because when we got there we showed the customer that the gate was open and none of us has ever suggested climbing.
We supply the villa with a welcome pack when it is requested by the customer.
The house has crepuscular lights; they get on automatically as soon as it gets dark;
The directions we gave, is to go on the main road turn right and then turn right again, there is a pizzeria restaurant
The house has a book with a list of restaurants, places to visit, nearest supermarket and other useful info on the area;
The safety tap for the water was loose and this leaked a little, our maintenance man tightened the tap and it stopped leaking.
Regarding the wifi , Telecom had an issue and so it was beyond our management and we explained this to the customer. The line came back as soon as Telecom fixed their problem. It had nothing to do with us.
From the pictures you can realize there is sea view and it is not limited.
