Ate here on Thursday with a couple of friends although we only had a starter and a couple of main dishes between us along with beers. However I have eaten here several times before. The food is very good quality and I have to say the goulash puts Zum Loweneck to shame. It was as if I had turned back the clock to a time when Zum Loweneck had the best ever goulash.
Not any more it hasnt and being just 3 minutes walk from there it is definitely the better alternative for food, service and hospitality. The greeting is warm and welcoming, service good as is the beer and food.
Not cheap however and like a few other places locally not what I would call good value for money compared with what you can get just a few minutes walk away. However if cost is not a high priority then ideal for a change of cuisine.Nice atmosphere and I would say a nice setting for a quiet of romantic evening.
Thursday cost 47 euros for a mixed starter of cold meats (speck etc)1 goulash and 1 wurstel with sauce,2 lots of bread,2 x red beers 0.4l 1 x blonde 0.2l and 1 x 0;2l red beer,1 cafe and 1 x schnapps. Not bank breaking by any means but not a budget night out if planning to have a full meal and a few beers.
