“Nice, clean room in an enchanting little fishing village”

I loved this town!

This hotel is in a good location. Just a few mins walk to shops, cafes, restaurants, train station, the ocean. The room was a bit small but good size cupboards for storage. The bathroom also small but well organized, plenty of hooks for clothes and towels, room for toiletries. Line in bathroom for hand washing small items & line outside window as well. Our room did not face the ocean, but still could hear the surf. If I returned I would ask for ocean view.

The breakfast was OK and served in a lovely glass covered room.
The housekeeping was excellent. Floor in room mopped daily, as well as bath and basin cleaned. I saw quilts being returned from dry cleaners. This impressed me as I am always dubious about how often quilts are cleaned.
All staff very friendly and very helpfully.

I would recommend staying here.
The actual town in beautiful and not overly touristy. I thought it much nicer than the towns on the
Chinque Terre. I actually wish that I did not do the Chinque Terre walk, but the walk from Camogli to San Fruttuoso instead. If we had more time I would have done this also.

If you are driving, the car park is 2 min walk away from hotel and is paid parking. If you leave the car overnight and all the next day as well it will cost you €21 (€1.5 per hour from 8:00 - 22:00)

I had the best nocchi ever at Nipo Nipo Café on the promenade.

Only bad thing was the noise other guests made returning to their rooms & scraping furniture at all hours in the night.

Room Tip: If they show you the first room by the breakfast area ask to see another room. We did and got a quie...

From the moment we arrived at this hotel, we knew we have made the right choice. The staff could not have been more helpful, our room was spotlessly clean with a small balcony and side sea view.

Camogli is beautiful, full of Italian charm and lovely restaurants, mostly serving fish dishes. The railway station is ideally located, just 5 minutes walk away. On arrival we decided not to take the steps, so walked down the road and along the sea front as recommended on previous reviews; this was quite a distance when pulling 2 cases each. On reflection, it would have been much easier to carry the cases down the steps. On leaving my husband decided to use the steps, and one of the receptionists from the hotel ran out to help us, there was no need (just shows how helpful the staff were).

As this was part of a four week holiday, we decided to use it as our relaxing week, which was ideal as the hotel is located on a small beach, not one of the over-crowded beaches you find in many resorts. The only trip we made was by train to Santa Margherita Ligure (5 mins journey), then catching the ferry to Portofino which is a must.

Very nice hotel right next to the beach and short walk to shops and restaurants. We stayed in a twin room for 4 nights in July and were lucky enough to have one of few rooms with a balcony. The room was fairly basic but comfortable, clean and air conditioned. The staff were wonderful - welcoming, friendly and very helpful, especially when I needed help sorting out the incorrect train tickets I had been sold at the station. Breakfast was good and staff were happy to make coffee during the day. There was free wifi in the breakfast room.

The hotel is near the train station but beware - if you are lugging heavy cases (as we were) the steps down are very steep. Better to turn left out of the station and take the longer way down on sloping footpaths

Camogli is a small pretty town with a popular beach. There are some lovely (steep) walks nearby, and frequent trains to the cinque terre towns.

We loved our stay. Our family of 5 (kids - 13, 11, and 7) simply loved the location to the beach, the focaccia shop in the breezeway, and great staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made our stay very enjoyable. It great to have a breakfast waiting, beach towels upon request, a 30 second walk down the stairs to the beach, and 1 minute to the best waterfront stroll.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has 2 windows (room 13). Great cross breeze and you can fall asleep with the wi...

Thanks TA for bringing this delightful small hotel to our attention. Friends had recommended Camogli where they had stayed at the Cenobia dei Dogi, which in our opinion looked expensive and faded, albeit in a great position at the edge of this charming town. We happily stayed at the Camogliese which is bang next door. Had a lovely large room with a balcony with a side sea view of the beach and sea. It lives up to the well deserved reviews it gets on TA and deservedly holds the number one spot. As others have noted, great location (88 steps down from the railway station and 22 steps to the stony beach). It's just a five minute walk along the front to all the shops and restaurants. Great breakfast and lovely friendly staff. We would return. Take the walk along the coast to the Stella Maris hotel - up and down lots of steps, but you are rewarded with wonderful vistas at every turn and great coffee on arrival - you can get the ferry back too!
