Pleasant hotel situated on the western edge, above the main centre of Limone (it takes about 15-20 mins to walk into the main town, longer going back as it's uphill)

We stayed here in mid May 2014 and Limone and the hotel were still fairly quiet (it's a good time to visit!). Checked in easily and had a room on the second floor near to pool. The open air pool is a lovely resource and we spent a whole afternoon lounging in the sun by it and enjoying the views of the lake and mountains.

The room was basic and had that 'stale tobacco' smell to it, but we could put up with that. Pillows on the bed were a little flat. To be honest I was a little disappointed with the room, but the price we paid was good and the rest of the hotel has a unique vibe to it. It feels very European, not like the standard chain hotels.

The free parking is welcome facility!

As I mentioned those who are less able may struggle with the walk back up, but I think it's still a good location - the views really are spectacular if you manage to get a cloud-free sunny day!

Breakfast was a good selection if meats, fruits, cheeses etc.

The staff were really friendly. The hotel and all of Limone seem to be geared towards German speaking tourists, but English (and of course Italian) are spoken too.

The pool really is a lovely facility with great views.

I'd recommend this hotel if you want lovely views, free parking and a good price.

Nice stay in the Villa Elite. We stayed in the junior suite located about 100 metres from the main building. Our second floor room had its own balcony and un obstructed views of Lake Garda, Limone town, and Malcesine across the water. Beautiful Monte Baldo is right there all 2200 metres of it rising majestically from the lake.

The double bed was in a kind of loft accessed by a wrought iron circular stairway. The pillows were hard which may suit some (no us). Also Nobody will be going up or down quickly as its a little steep. Not suitable for anyone with mobility restrictions. There was also a claw foot bathtub by the bed, we didn't use it as all bath materials were in the downstairs shower /WC. Plenty of hot water and water pressure, so no complaints, but the shampoo, conditioner and soap was provided in sachets. Could be classier with little effort. The pool for the room area we stayed in was to the side, so no noise impact and spotlessly clean!! rooms also were cleaned well. We used air on as it was warm, both units worked well. The downstairs had a couch, may have been a sofa bed, but no real decent reading lamps. Weather during our stay was great, but a couple thunder storms in the evening....nd the rain really pounded the roof and gutters which could be heard.

No wifi in the rooms where we were only the main building. Another easily correctable item perhaps, for convenience.

Breakfast was good with a wide selection of savoury and sweet items to satisfy anybody's taste. If the weather permits you can sit outside and eat in the open air! The staff all round were excellent. Very helpful, courteous and professional. Nothing was a bother and this made our experience great. Interesting practice of assigning I napkins to the room and reusing them during the stay.

The hotel is about 15 minutes walk to the waters edge and Limone town. Easy walk down, a bit uphill on the return. Didn't bother us at all, but for people with mobility issues, probably better to take a taxi.

Loads to see, eat and experience in Limone and visit the Limonaias if you can!

Room Tip: Ask for the junior suite in the Annex if you want a great view of Lake Garda!

My partner and I stayed July 2012 in a room with no number in the annexe. Our 'terrace' was a thoroughfare to the car park and the air conditioning unit leaked making the floor dangerously slippy. From the stains on the wall this was not a new problem. At breakfast we were led to 'our table' which was around the corner in the back. We had to laugh as we felt like we got the short straw. Pool lovely and when we saw other rooms being cleaned they looked lovely. If it says 'last room remaining' don't book it!

Villa Elite is a small family run hotel away from Limone lakeside. To get to the hotel the hill is a bit steep but not too steep and healthy children and adults could easily manage it. The main charm of Elite it is a bit away from the very lively bustle of Limone. It is easy to walk down and up to Limone in the evening or early morning when it is not too hot. The service and breakfast are fantastic, the views are amazing and the pots of hydrangeas placed on every floor are gorgeous. It is tasteful, but not flashy with a lovely pool and very helpful staff. There are additional larger apartments to stay in placed in lovely grounds only a few metres away. There are two reasonably priced places to eat within easy walking distance

Room Tip: We stayed on the top floor facing the lake. It has its own table and chairs just outside the room.

We really liked it here! We're a "young" couple from London and had a great few days, staying 3 nights. We happened to get a room right next to the swimming pool, and spent our days reading on the balcony and dipping into the pool. The lake views from either couldn't be any more beautiful. Oh, and you can see the Monte Baldo, too.

Of course, you're not directly on the lake, so if you want to be right at the water, then this isn't for you. We found that while the town below us was worth a visit, we were much happier a bit further up, not only for the view, but also because the restaurants around the hotel are just great — much better than the tourist traps on the lake! In fact, the staff were very helpful and recommended good places to eat.

We recommend going in September, after the August heat's gone. Oh, one more thing you might want to consider, if you're a sunbather: there's no evening sun. Still warm and light, but the mountains shade off the sun from mid afternoon or so.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a lake-view room, the one next to the swimming pool is nice :)

Villa Elite is a family-owned hotel nestled in the hills above Limone Sul Garda with a terrific view of the lake and surrounding area. The hotel, staff and location combine in a fashion that exudes charm and peacefulness. Our stay the end of September for five nights was perfect and so relaxing. But of course, you want the details to help you decide whether or not to book here!

We stayed in a junior suite at the annex, a short walk from the main hotel. The annex is gorgeous and recommended. We had a private terrace on the side of the annex with great lake views and a table and chairs. The suites are clean, minimally furnished and well-maintained. There is a safe in the closet in the room. My only suggestions for improvement would be for the hotel to arrange for either self-service laundry or a laundry service. We discovered that washing out a couple things at night and then placing them on a hanger in the closet with the mini-fridge worked great - the fridge generated sufficient heat to create a drying cupboard! Also, the complimentary soap bar was tiny - the hotel should consider replenishing the soap during a multi-night stay.

Many people write about the walk to/from town. Obviously downhill is not an issue. My wife and I are reasonably fit Americans (59 and 60) and we made the walk from the bottom of the hill in town (by the buses and the "boardwalk" into the heart of Limone) to the hotel in 11 minutes. Great exercise! If you plan on coming to Italy, for goodness sakes get in some walking beforehand. There are taxis available in town if walking is not an option.

We ate one night at the hotel and our group arranged outdoor dining on the terrace across from the main hotel - under the olive trees - by candlelight. The food and wine were excellent. The breakfast that was included contained sufficient variety (fruit, muesli, croissants, yogurt, meats, cheeses, etc.) and good coffee. We also took advantage of the bar in the main hotel - make sure you sample an Aperol Spritz while in Italy. (Much better than Campari!). It's the "in" thing at the moment.

The family/staff was friendly and helpful. Several do speak excellent English. The mother laughed at me when I produced a photo on my phone of what I had used from the mini-bar but it proved easier than my basic Italian.

I would definitely return to this hotel.

Room Tip: The Annex is a great location - only a few steps from the main hotel and across the street. Our terr...
