We went here as part of a shore excursion. The City of Lindos is beautiful with white buildings , red bougainvillea and many small shops lining the streets of the climb to the top of the acropolis .Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes with good traction as the climb both up and down is slippery. The view from the acropolis is breathtaking. The runs of the Temple of Athena Lindia are amazing and beautiful. The medieval gate at the top is very impressive. There are many ruins to see. Be sure to take water with you as it can be hot at the top and there is no place to purchase water.

Visited on a very wet, gusty miserable day, with difficult, dangerous conditions underfoot. I had to tread very carefully and to crawl at the edge of the ancient ruins at the top, in order not to get blown over the edge, 300 metres to the rocks below! It was a surreal, deeply moving experience, with the ruins of the three superimposed cultures - Ancient Greek, medieval knights and Byzantine, merging into one in the treacherous conditions.

It is an uphill, but easy enough hike up. Well worth the effort. Great views and an interesting space.

This was an unexpected pleasure. Worth the many steps to reach and not even a shower could dampen the spirit of this place. One of my favorite stops in 15 day trip in several countries

Note: slippery trail in light rain! Wear non slip treads.

Fantastic experience, quite difficult to get to, not suitable for people with walking difficulties, well worth the 300 steps to the top for the views alone, the acropolis ruins are also quite impressive, the return down to the delightful white village below is an added bonus, lovely church to visit free entry, numourous little shops to browse around...
