You should track out step by step up to the Acropolis and it offers you a beautiful view on Lindos village, on the blue sea, really nice. However Acropolis is a ruin, so don't except something stunning. But I think you should go there, because of the amazing views.

Very nice and ancient place. From the Acropolis there is beautiful view on Lindos!! When we were underneath it seems very high, but in fact the way upward took maybe 15 mins, and it wasn't very hard.

Still under renovation, but well worth the steep walk for the content and the fantastic views. Leave the poor donkeys for the kids, they are less sure footed than us at times.

Nice if you can make it to the top but hard on the legs. The pathway up is steep and there are a lot of steps but worth the climb. I gave up but my husband made it to the top and was pleased he had done so. Spectacular views all around.

I have to admit I was feeling daunted by the climb up to the top of the Acropolis , I'm overweight/unfit and don't function well in the heat, and I would not inflict me onto a poor donkey but it wasn't actually too bad, although deffo not for the infirm. As you start heading up there are lots of "tourist tat" little stalls and shops, and stopping points as you start heading up the steps. Fortunately all of which are in the shade in the morning, so the time to go. If you do it bit by bit it's ok, and the views are well worth it. Personally I find it a bit of a shame there is a crane etc up there as the "restore" parts of it, to me this defeats the point of viewing " historical ruins" but glad we went up there...health and safety nightmare so not ideal for toddlers either.
