“Top location to visit”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

Located on a hilltop within a short waking distance from the village center, Acropolis is a must-visit attraction site with spectacular Mediterranean views. It is a great historic site dating back to 4th century BC. It is home to Temple of Athena Lindia. Highly recommended!

“Great Views!”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

It was a good price to get into the Acropolis at only 6 Euros per person (free for students and pensioners) so good value. The views were gorgeous and breathtaking! Worth visiting!

“Great archeology, magnificent views”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

You can get a donkey 'taxi' up to the entrance if you don't fancy the walk, otherwise there are two ways up. Through the town (it's well signposted) and up the narrowish steps and fight your way past the linen sellers, or up the donkey trail which isn't much further and gives you great views of the town and bay.
It is being restored but I havn't seen any workmen yet! It doesn't detract from the enjoyment of seeing so much history. Take care near the edges and ramparts as there aren't many safety barriers, so maybe not that suitable for young children. There's not much in the way of shade up there if it gets really hot, take a bottle of water too. There is a small café up there, but outside the main entrance. Well worth the walk up, great photo opportunities.

“What a view!”
Reviewed June 26, 2013 via mobile

The walk up to the acropolis is a long and steep walk, the path is slippy due to heat and wear so would be advised to wear sensible shoes or sandals and not flip flops !! Well worth an afternoon visit and the few euros it costs to get in.

“wonderful”

It is worth it to climb the steps to see this marvelous Acropolis. From up there you can see the port hidden behind the rocks. The view from there is beautiful. Drink a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice in your way up or down.
