“Steep climb”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013

We opted to walk up to the Acropolis rather than subject the poor donkeys to our heavy weight. It was well worth it when we saw the view from the top. Beware underfoot can be very slippy especially if you wear flip flops.

“Wonderful views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013

Worth the uphill walk through the gorgeous white village. Advise walking up to it in the morning as midday sun is just too hot, even on a cloudy day in May! Lovely views and great shops in the village too!

“I guess a visit is essential if in Lindos but really not much of interest”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013

We are avid historic site visitors and looked forward to the visit. At the entrance there were only guide books in Italian which was poor. The site has been restored a good deal but to the extent that in places there is so much obviously new restoration that there isn't much old left. Restoration has been a bit brutal really. Signage, with no guide book, was only average. The views are excellent. Don't take small children or if you do don't let go of them as there are some unprotected steep and dangerous falls! No toilet or refreshment facilities. Very busy around 9.00 am onwards through the morning with coachloads of tourists. Steep walk up, option to take a donkey ride up for 5 euros. Overall - dissappointing.

“Could be listed as one of the world wonders !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

Had the chance to visit it in early April, didn’t know it could be so beautiful !
Between 11 am and 1 pm we were may-be at most 30 tourists on the site.
It was so quiet and peaceful, you could stop and sit anywhere and take time to breathe every view, just hearing the presence of the sea around. Here architecture and nature give you an unforgettable wild show !
