We have just spent two lovely weeks staying in Driftwood, one of the beachcomber villas. The villa was really well thought out, clean, nice linen and towels and the outside space was great. The pool was gorgeous, warm and a good depth for messing about with the children. It was good to have air con and reliable wifi too.
I feel you would need a car to get the best from a stay here, although you can walk to the main road and there are lots of buses. We hired a car through independent rentals, a family business on the island, who were brilliant.
The villa owners Lorna and Tsam could not have been nicer, making sure we had clean towels and linen, and giving us recommendations for things to do. We felt really well looked after and we were sad to leave.
Rhodes is a fabulous destination, and the beachcombers are in a lovely location.
This wonderful villa is ideally situated midway between Lindos and Pefkos but set 400m back from the main road with an almost uninterrupted view of Navarone Bay and the cliffs. Pefkos is great to visit for a wide range of restaurants, boat rides, shopping and beaches. The large shaded terrace is a welcome break form the sun and a perfect spot to sit and eat or just relax. The beautiful clean pool is large enough to swim in but shallow enough for family games-great for playing Waboba!
Seashell is well thought out and well equipped and we were made very welcome by Lorna and Tsam.
We have just returned from our holiday in Rhodes where we stayed for 2 weeks in Seashell at The Beachcombers.
I honestly only have praise to offer. The villa was extremely well equipped, the pool was definitely one of the best that we have had - we always rent private villas and pools when we travel - and the view was perfect - the sun rose over the sea in the morning and set over the mountain behind us in the evening. The gardens are beautifully kept and the villa is air conditioned (it was 38 degrees for most of our visit).
Tsam and Lorna were wonderful and made sure that we had everything that we could possibly need and I would definitely recommend these villas and would consider returning again myself.
The children spent most of the 2 weeks in either the pool or the sea. A car is essential given the location of the villa but once you have a car the entire island is easily accessible. The longest trip we did was to Rhodes Old Town which took around an hour to reach. It was exceptional and I would definitely recommend a visit if you are staying on the island. We drove back via Ancient Kamiros which was incredible and then returned to the villa through the mountains. We also visited the Acropolis at Lindos which was only 5 minutes from the villa and definitely worth the climb. We went fairly early as this is one attraction that does get busy.
There are some fabulous sandy beaches a short drive from the villa. The closest is Plakia which is sandy, very safe for children and quiet. Glystra beach is about 15 minutes from the villa and is also a small gently shelving sandy beach. Our favourite beach was Agathi which was about 20 minutes from the villa. It is busier than the other 2 mentioned but has 3 tavernas on the beach and the water is sublime for swimming, snorkelling and is very safe for children.
All in all we had a wonderful time in Rhodes and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend these villas as a base for exploring or just stepping off the world for a little while and relaxing.
Thank you Tsam and Lorna!
Private villa with electric gate controlled by key fob. The front of they villa's are beautiful, with very well maintained gardens, which were actually worked on while we were there. Parking space for a vehicle if you wish to hire one, which we did while we were there. The villa itself was fantastic, with plenty of space internally and externally. Its fully equipped with microware, toaster, kettle(for nice cup of tea), dishwasher, fridge/freezer & washing machine, which we used a few times. There are plenty of glasses, cups & plates etc. The sitting area is nice, with two sofas and a dining table and chairs. The villas bedrooms are great, but we did go with a couple and we took the two single beds, which we had to sleep apart, although we did push the beds together, which helped. This is not a criticism as we were fully aware that the villa only had one double bed. My wife and I were just excited about going, but never really thought about sleeping arrangements. There is a sofa bed in the kitchen area that we could of moved into the bedroom or just slept in the kitchen area, but you would not have any privacy. That said, it added some laughs to our night, when I fell between the beds. The pool is excellent and a fantastic way to cool off, the Jacuzzi is fun to. The view from the villa are brilliant out over Navarone bay We did meet Lorna & Tsam, they are a very lovely couple, I would suggest a chat for recommendations of places to go & eat, although if you read the guest book in the villa, there are plenty of recommendation in there. WIFI also, great to what's app or face time family. Overall, very pleasant villa, fully equipped, with a beautiful views, looking forward to going again.

We stayed in Seashell. It really is home from home. The kitchen is very well equipped and it was nice being able to drink out of the tap! There is a dishwasher and washing machine and all the appliances, cutlery and crockery is of a high standard and very clean.
The lounge has two very comfy sofas, it was nice to get back from dinner and chill out with the air con on. The wifi is excellent too which is a bonus, even by the pool.
The outside space is amazing the pool is beautiful with views over Navarone bay. There is even a handy washing line and pegs!
We liked the two bedrooms, with lots of storage and hangers, even a hairdryer.
The villas are also very secure behind electric gates.
Car hire I feel is pretty much essential but at night we had no problem flagging down a taxi or you can call one. Lindos is around 9 euros.
The best superemarkets we found was going back towards to airport on the roundabout and we also loved Perkilis restaurant next to Angelicas restaurant, this is on the Pefkos road heading towards lardos in the area of Lothiarika.
The only thing I would change and it is personal preference is I would like black out blinds in the bedrooms as it was very bright at 7am!
Thanks Lorna and Tsam, hope to see you in 2016

The Beachcombers are an attractive row of 4 single story villa's, each with their own good size pool, garden, shaded terrace with loungers and outdoor dining area, as well as a balcony with table and chairs off each bedroom. The villa's are set well back from the main road that runs between Lindos and Pefkos, accessed along a road then a track. Your keyfob opens the automatic gates and you enter a little oasis of well maintained gardens and pretty flowers and each villa has a parking space.
We stayed in Seashell and it was quite simply a home from home for us that we were very sorry to leave. Spent many happy hours drifting round the pool on an airbed or relaxing in the spar, book in hand....total peace and total privacy as even though you have neighbours, the gardens / pool are hidden from other villas by large well maintaines hedgerows. The villa itself was equipped with everything you could possibly need wether that be detergent for the washing machine or utensils for the bbq. When we needed to retreat indoors to avoid midday sun the wifi was excellent - as good as home. A real bonus for a teenage son who's normally permanently attached to a phone or iPad.
The owners came by a couple of times a week to see if we needed anything (loo rolls, fresh towels) and midway through our two week stay the bedding was changed and the villa and pool cleaned.
I wasn't keen on driving so we initially tried to do without a car, choosing instead to catch the bus or flag a taxi on the main road but this was a bit hit and miss so while not essential, a car is definately handy.
Overall I just loved this place. Comfortable, tranquil, well equipped, great location, friendly and helpful owners and I deninately hope to return.
My family and myself stayed in all the four villas available and could not fault them, it was like home from home the villas had everything we needed and were nicely furnished and clean.
We were all on holiday due to our wedding we loved that fact that all the family were together in one place but we also had our own privacy as the gardens were segregated and we all had our owns pools per villa.
The only downside is the location of the villas, you are placed between Pefkos and Lindos and there isn't anything near you in terms of walking distance so you need to hire a car ideally to get to the local shops and restaurants or pay out for taxis.
Even though we had to hire a car to get about we still had a fantastic holiday and would recommend these villas :)
