I went to the main beach in lindos while staying in rhodes, its a gorgeous beach with crystal clear water. Amazing sights around you and its really close to the old city of lindos . U pay 8 € for beach seats. And u have resturants close to you too. Highly recommend !

“Beautiful sandy and safe beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2013

one of the best sandy beaches we have ever visited. Warm, clear water, amazing location, perfect for families with young children.

“Access to Lindos beach can be done for wheelchairs with assistance!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

The waves gently lapping at the shore line should not be for the able bodied only although in much of Greece this is the case. Lindos beach does have access of sorts for a wheelchair and we managed to get our Great Aunt Betty down to the sunbeds and under an umbrella and with two of us assisting getting her swimming in the sea at Lindos bay. Using the signage pointing you to the beach via a steep road and wheeling or driving down this road, (if you have a car) you can park with a prepaid ticket. If you are wheeling then its a 1:10 incline and you need to get down to the beach early 7.30-8am whether by car or wheeling there. Why? Because after that time there is no sunbeds or shade available as the beds at 4 euro each for the day get snapped up quickly and then there is limited access to the wooden boarding that the wheelchair requires to get to a good position on the sand near the waters edge. At the bottom of the road where there is stair and step access to the beach, near the changing room, and close to the toilet block is a ramp with slats. Access to it, Going down it and off onto the wooden boarding was relatively easy. Coming off the beach required two people to assist in pulling over the slats. Once on the boarding manoeuvering carefully, you can get right down to 10ft from the waters edge. Sunbeds and shade umberella's. Then in our case it was two person assistance to shuffle that 10ft to the sea. Once in the water yes there is sand, then coarse sand, very coarse pebbly sand then the sea floor is covered in sand and rocks right out until the middle of the bay. So beware, they are like someone dropped boulders in the sea, possibly to stop invaders in the past but stubbing toes while floating admiring the view is very possible and scraping a shin so keep your feet up if possible, however the water is salty, warm and soothing and if you find a good spot you won't want to move from it because there are no tides or waves, just ripples. Looking up from the bay is the Acropolis and white houses of Lindos village, on the other side a rocky outcrop. Infront of you looking back at the beach, restaurants sit back behind the beach wall, catering for breakfast, lunch, anytime snacks and if you want, full evening meals. Rows and rows of white sunbeds and umbrellas right around the bay. After sunning or just swimming or both, the beach shower will wash off your salt and sand and the small circular cabin toilets and changing rooms give an option to change into other clothes. The toilets were small and we couldn't see a disabled one but we may have just missed it. Off the beach and onto the road again and up the incline is a big push in the heat. We suggest a car parked early at the bottom near the beach and then its out into the car and away. Our only real complaint is that with all their trying to get access available albeit using your skills to manoeuvre, they don't rake the sand nightly/daily and it spoilt the enjoyment of being at the beach and having sand between your toes, when also between your toes is a ring pull and a fag butt!

“Very beautiful sandy bay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2013

Nice warm water, sandy and shallow water, very accessible, even though is highly commercial with far too many brollies on the beach, is very pretty. It is a natural large bay for yachts, so it is very pictures. Very much worth a visit, while in Rhodes.
