“We're defo coming back”
Reviewed September 3, 2012 via mobile

We stayed here from June 16th -  27th June 2012 (Sorry for the delay in writing this) It was our first family holiday with our 1 year old daughter so we were a little anxious, however there was no need to be as on arrival the staff really looked after us and this continued throughout the holiday. A big thank you to Dimitri and his old man Vatelli ( apologies if we have spelt names wrong ) for making us feel so welcome and making our daughters 1st holiday so easy as the whole complex was so child friendly.

It didn't get off to the best of starts mind as on arrival they had forgotten that we needed a babies cot however this was rectified immediately and we soon forgot this happened. We were given one of the ground floor and easy accessible apartments which was great and this definitely helped as the holiday went on with the hill.

The apartment itself was nice, enough room for the 3 of us and it was cleaned regularly throughout the holiday. The cleaners even recognised we had a little one and on days when we needed them to be they were flexible with when they cleaned the room. The Fridge-Freezer and air con are a god send and a must have even in June, the 50 euros a week it costs for air con is a no brainer in my opinion.

We loved the Pool area and the fact that no matter what time of day we went down to use the pool there was space for us in terms of some where to keep the push chair out of the sun and for us to use the sun beds. The bar area was always clean and tidy and the snack food was spot on, fresh and lots of choice, especially for the day.

At night we really enjoyed the walk in to the town, it really is an amazing walk in down the hill with the view of the Acropolis and it takes roughly about 10-15 minutes. The walk is also nice on the way home it’s a little cooler and it helps walk off the great food you have had as part of your evening meal. However it’s not the choice for everyone as it is steep and up hill most of the way and most people get a taxi which I believe costs an average 5 Euros to the Lambis door.

Lindos Town Itself if breathtaking and it surpassed all our expectations, the narrow streets are great to explore the food and restaurant selection on offer will easily cover to eat somewhere different for 14 nights if you wanted, however you will soon have chosen your favourites it’s inevitable as all the restaurants are family friendly. Also a highlight for us was St Paul’s Bay it is a must visit both for the view and the swim in the bay.

All in all we would recommend Lindos and Lambis Studio’s to anyone but especially to any young families. Lambis has a great eclectic mix of people who stay there from young and old couples, to young families and Rockers!!! And we wouldn’t stay anywhere else on our return to Lindos (which we will be planning shortly!)

We stayed here prior to our wedding with15 of our family including 8 kids. There isn't a negative thing to say...the rooms are big, clean, and really comfortable. The bar area and pool area was great for all the kids and the bar food was generally tasty. Dimitri behind the bar is a good guy, prepare yourself for dry humour, but he was really helpful and a good laugh.
They hold weekly Greek nights and pool parties too, which and worth trying out.
All in all this place is well worth the money we would defiantly recommend

The apartment was large , clean and well maintained. The bar and pool area was also well maintained, there were always sunbeds available and the staff and owners were always freindly and willing to help. Ideal for couples or families with small children the studios are just far enough out of town for some peace and quiet and close enough to walk 10 mins down to Lindos or 5 Euros in a taxi if you are lazy! Would definately stay at the Lambis again.

I recently travelled to the Lambis Sudios and Apartments in Lindos, Rhodes.
The apartments are spacious and clean. The air con was 50 euros for the week and the safe was 10 euros. The air con was a must as the general area was very arrid. The pool area was good, plenty of sun beds and parasols. The bar is adequate for he amount of studios. The gardens are rally beautiful. We had a pool party one night and a greek night another night. The rest of the nights you have to make your own entertainment. There is a bit of background music or the TV. The food that is served there was very nice and reasonably priced. (no can opener or broom in the room - only faults)
There are 3 supermarkets close by. However it cost us over 3 euros for a loaf of kingsmill. I found the food shopping quite expensive. We ate out most days.
The beach is down a steephill. But if you make your way back to the main square you can get a taxi back to the studios for about 5 euros.
The town is very authentic and beautiful.
The beach is very nice apartment from the hill.
The staff was very nice, good use of the English language.
The kids aged 9 and 13 would have liked a few more shops and a bit more to do.
But in all it was a beautiful place.

The Studio itself was large, we had 2 adults and 2 teenagers in it and lots of room. There was not enough cutlery, plates or cups we had 3 of everything. The tea cups were tiny so we had to have two cups of tea from one tea bag, they should have supplied a tea pot. There was no can opener, microwave or oven and a dust pan and brush to clean up the sand from the beach it is supposed to be selfcatering. I think the idea is to get you to use the resturant and bar by the pool. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor on the first day, we reported it and 3 days later it was fixed. It was just very dangerous getting out of the shower in an inch of water, also my son proceded to blow dry his hair while standing in the water.
The studios are definatly only for fit people as most of the studios are up a 75metre steep slope, i am fit and even i found it hard going to the top. Dont forget anything when you go out!
The food at the bar was great i recomend the Kleftico. We watched the olympics some evenings by the pool bar, the room t.v only had one working channel out of a given 9. The aircon is turned on when you pay 49Euro's. The air con took a while to cool the room down, when we arrived the room must have been about 50 degrees. The rooms were very quiet. The room had a balcony with veiws of the mountains and sort of the sea. We walked to the beach about a 25 minute walk down a steep hill past Lindos. We got taxis back up the hill a t night and in the day. They are 4 euros but if you get a shop to call one they want 6 euros, but worth every penny.
The Thompson staff were fantastic, at the airport going home it was so quick, but dont go through to airside until you board very soon as not alot there and exspensive food and drink.
The bar also sells bottled water x 6 which is the same price as the local supermaket. There was limited entertainment a bit of greek dancing and a pool party. We did not go on any excursions as these were exspensive.

Room Tip: All rooms face forward down the hill so nice veiws.

We have recently came back from our holiday at the Lambis Studios. The hotel was clean, tidy and the staff were very friendly. Our rep Danielle was very helpful and cannot fault her one bit. After reading the previous review i cannot believe they talk of her so badly when she went out of her way to help everyone. The food was great and I would recomend this hotel to everyone especially those with family as my 4 year old loved the pool and amenities.

Visited the hotel 18 July-1 August, couple in 30s and 4 year old boy.
Found the apartment (25) to be clean, large with lots of storage and a great view of the pool and sea. Decent sized balcony where we could sit day or night when the boy was sleeping. Limited entertianment but this wasn't a problem to us, we enjoyed just going out to eat and having a few drinks on the balcony when son in bed. Free Wi-fi in the bar area which could be picked up around the pool too, which was a nice bonus.
The Lambis studios certainly met our needs, with a lovely pool area, sufficient sun beds with no need to reserve or get up early and great staff. We ate at the pool bar once or twice for breakfast and lunch and the food was good. No complaints at all about this hotel, other than perhaps that the air con was not great in our room, took some hrs to get to a decent temperature based and could not be left on in your absence due to the key card being required in the room. Danielle, the rep, however was useless in respect of 3 separate requests, specifically in respect of request for advice regarding a likely hospital stay. The Thomsons service wasn't a patch on last year's in Menorca, which was a 'cheap and chearful' budget AI getaweay. I also found the flight to be less comfortable with limited leg space, poor food choice and money saving e-mailed tickets etc. To be honest, my experience this year has lead me to think we might as well have booked DIY and ditched the tour operator.
We, unfortunately needed the oncall doctor and services of the Rhodes hospital, who (unlike the Thomson rep Danielle who was about as much help on this occasion and previously as a chocolate tea pot) exceeded all our expectations.
We spent a lot of time at the Lindos view with friends and the entertainment, modern rooms, restaurant, roof top seating area, bar area, reception, location and staff certainly make this a notch above lambis, but for the money we paid, we were perfectly happy with our holiday and apartments and wouldn't have swapped.
Lindos is beautiful and we really enjoyed eating out at a different restaurant each night, with amazing views from the roof top tavernas. I wouldn't be able to pick a favourite as all the food was delicious and as a veggie, I certainly ate well. The small person of the party also ate well and the restaurants were usually happy to provide a small portion of any of the adult dishes and had a standard childrens menu with the usual suspects and pasta dishes.
The medical issue tainted the secnd week of our holiday, esp as was unable to hire a car again as planned, but we managed a boat trip 'Lazy day cruise', booked in Lindos centre, which was a great day with fantastic swimming/diving oportunities. ST Paul's bay was a perfect place to bathe, swim and enjoy a lovely lunch at the beachside taverna. Would love to return to Lindos in the future, however, for now there are always more places to explore. Would recommend Lindos and Lambis to younger and older couples and families.
