Found this haven by chance on walking back down into Lindos from the bus station.
The restaurant out back is lovely. Family run and very friendly and attentive but discreet with a very unusual small menu, a cross between mediterannean and greek, different to most of the other touristy restaurants, good music and views, great food, we had a lovely night there.
The owner could see I was struggling with the heat and brought me over a traditional hand fan which he let me keep, I thought that was a lovely touch.
You will not be disappointed if you go here.

Was holidaying at Lindos Horizon Apartments (which are also great) and called into Med East for a late night drink as they were playing some great music - check out his 'collection'. Manolis was a fantastic host, as he was just closing ... but we then stayed for a couple of hours and ended up jamming playing guitar with his partner. To be recommended.

We read everywhere what a great restaurant this was and I couldnt get there soon enough.
Mind you the setting of the place is breath-taking, the place is decorated in an amazing way, is very pretty indeed, the atmosphere is great and the music is beautiful.
We were there perfectly timed to watch the sunset and had the terrace for ourselves for the first half an hour there.
The waiters very polite and the owner very sweet.
Menu is nice, very good choice, and we ordered.
First they came with a vert tasty olive entree with olive oil, salt and peppers, and a basket of delicious bread, that we didnt order but we thought was part of the starters, we then observed they did the same to all the sourrounding tables.
Starters came the stuffed mushrooms were delicious!! little bit dry but then we didnt have olive oil at hand... a shame. The grilled aubergine baba-ganush was tasty, albeit it lacked of kick (maybe is a family thing but im used to have pine-nuts, spices or other things in it).
Main courses were very generous and nice, -olive oil and vinegar appeared at the table finally- but we needed to ask for fingerbowls (we had seafood risotto and pasta) tasty, but nothing out of the ordinary.
There was no space fo dessert in our tummies unfortunately.
We were given the bill and shots of ouzo, and eventhough I drink strong-flavored beverages (my favourite whiskey is Lagavulin) I couldnt drink this ouzo, was just alcohol! :P
Surprise came with the bill when we realized they charged 4 euros for the bread and olives that they serve "no questions asked" in every table.
So, if you go, say no to the bread!!! Unless you want to pay for an euro for a slice of bread... and even if money is not an issue, of principle, I think they should not do that anyway!!
