“Wonderful hotel!”

We loved Hotel Itaca! It was very close to Cadiz, which is where we were mostly sight seeing. The room was very modern and had a beautiful small balcony w/french doors. The staff is super helpful, especially Jorge and Joaquin. Free wifi and lovely breakfast in a beautiful pink room! There are great restaurants about a 10 min. walk to Plaza de Arsenal.

Stayed at the Itaca for a weekend in May and have to say that we could not fault the Hotel. It is a beautiful old building, which has been modernised to provide superb facilities and the entrance to the hotel was stunning. Our room was spacious and well furnished, the bathroom had been expensively fitted out, with power shower and very modern fittings. The room was on the first floor, overlooking a pretty square and was surprisingly quiet. The buffet breakfast was extensive, with everything you could have wanted, even bacon and eggs!!! The restaurant is situated in the old chapel and as you will see from previous photographs the walls are painted bright pink - but somehow this works. The Hotel is well situated for sightseeing, being about a 5 minute walk to the main square. We could have taken advantage of the nearby parking facility, which was, I believe approximately 12 Euros per day. However, there is on street parking all around the Hotel and having arrived Saturday lunchtime, we found that this was completely free until Monday morning at 9 am, which is when we were leaving. The free wife was a bonus and we were able to read the Sunday Telegraph on our ipad! We got a fantastic deal on this 4* Hotel from Booking.com and would certainly recommend and return.

Booked 2 nights room only. Great location near the centre of town. Room was very clean and bright with modern feel in an old building. Small hotel with limited public areas, but great as a base for exploring town.

My husband and I had booked a room in this hotel for 7 nights over the new year period. It was so disappointing that we checked out after 2 nights (with no questions asked by the hotel).

I had three main issues with this hotel. First, we booked a room with a double bed, only to be given a twin room (beds made up separately). When I asked whether we could be moved to a room with a double bed, I was told that the hotel only has 3 double beds (despite listing many more than this on booking.com and other sites) and that they are given to guests on request at reception. The fact that we had specifically booked the room apparently meant nothing. When I asked whether the twin beds could be pushed together and made up as a double, I was told that would not be possible. No reason was given. My second issue was that the staff were all exceptionally rude. And finally, the wi-fi signal is exceptionally poor - between our laptop, iPhone and Nokia N8, we were unable to connect for more than a few seconds at a time while in our room.

I would give this hotel two positives - the room (while small) was clean and the location was good (very close to the station). However, I see no excuse for poor service and rude staff and I would not stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location not far from the railway station and the city centre. It has fairly comfortable rooms with an excellent breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night in May. We booked a room via Expedia (or possibly Venere? I can't remember!) for around 53 euros including breakfast - an incredible bargain given the top quality of the hotel!

The location is fantastic. It's a few minutes to the centre of town and looks out onto a beautiful courtyard with lots of trees. It's quiet at night but not far from most restaurants etc - perfect!

The room itself was perfect. Comfortable beds, free high speed Internet access, good shower and bathroom, effective air-conditioning, and everything was immaculately clean. Absolutely no complaints here.

The lobby and rest of the hotel are lovely. The building is super old (vague, I know, but I'm hesitant to state a century as it would be a guess!) and there are still some fixtures that existed from centuries ago. Staff were very friendly too and seemed genuinely interested to make sure we'd had a good stay.

Breakfast was okay - not great. Pastries were pre-packaged and low quality and most fruit was canned, however there was a decent selection and it was included in the price, so we can't complain.

We absolutely loved Jerez and will definitely return, staying at this hotel whne we do! We ate dinner at the most amazing restaurant - Meson del Tabernas, which is a bit of a walk from the hotel. It was absolutely delicious food. No English menus and non-English-speaking staff, so make sure you at least know the names of food in Spanish! :)
