Owner description: The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art Foundation, in Jerez de la Frontera, is famous all over the world for its show called "How the Andalusian Horses Dance", a unique exhibition of horsemanship which both exhibits and summarises the work which the institution has carried out since its establishment. Although the show "How the Andalusian Horses Dance" may be considered the highest attainment of the School's work, there are other aspects which are regarded as equally, or even more important, for the Institution. Among these, we would like to highlight its role as a social and cultural vehicle for our equestrian heritage, the selection and promotion of horses, the training of Haute Ecole riders, the preservation and promotion of Classical and Country Dressage (Doma Vaquera), maintaining the prestige of our horsemanship, the breed of our Spanish horses, our traditions and culture. Furthermore, the show enables the Royal School to play host for the Province of Cadiz and to act as ambassadors abroad on annual tours to various foreign countries. In addition to the show, you might enjoy a visit to our training facilities as well as the Museum of Equestrian Art and the Carriage Museum.

“Excellent! Almost superfluous to add a review!”

The consistently high ratings by other reviewers say it all - this is a wholly unforgettable experience. If you are anywhere in Southern Spain then make an effort (we drove about 200 kms to get there) to see a performance by these wonderful riders and superb horses. You will never forget it! This advice applies to everybody, and in spades to horse-lovers. We booked ahead by Internet and this is strongly recommended.

“The Horses”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

Everything it was superb!! The location was central easy to walk to, The demonstration was brilliant, so professional. The horses were well groomed and obviously well looked after, and the trainers/ horsemen and women were excellent. I would recommend anyone to pay a visit, it is well worth it.

“Every horse lovers dream”
Reviewed January 10, 2013 via mobile

I have been here twice now in recent months. Once on show day and once during the practice sessions. Both were excellent. The tours on both days were excellent, with the guides speaking good English. The horses are beautiful and so inspirational. I'll be back again if I have time.

“One of the best things that I have done in Spain (traveling here for over 20 years!).”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

We got the behind the scene tour. This place is spectacular. Met several Olympic champion riders and horses. The museum was informative and fun. The carriage museum was beautiful! The kids loved it. Watching the horses in their practice session was the highlight of the tour. The horses are graceful, beautiful and so intelligent. You must check out this place!
