We stayed at Casa Grande for the Moto GP and Horse Fair in May and I agree with the other reviews. Monika is a star - excellent host, we were made to feel very much at home. With Lola and the rest of the team helping us with tickets, taxis, visits etc. Excellent service, good sized very clean rooms, lovely old building with a quiet relaxing roof terrace for that early evening aperitif. I still have the flower and fan to help me look the part for ladies day at the Horse Fair. We had such a good time.Would definitely recommend it and we will hopefully return.

My sister and I had the distinct pleasure to be guests of Monika at Casa Grande; besides the spotless guest rooms, beautiful ex-mansion and good breakfast, the location is outstanding as a home base to tour southern Spain. Every town that we were interested in was a day trip from Jerez. The hotel itself is small with just a few guest rooms (makes it more intimate) and because of that, Monika has the time to spend with her guests on a one-to-one basis. We stayed 5 nights and felt like we were staying with family. She was a wealth of information concerning restaurants, directions to other towns (even Gibraltar) and the like. She even set up bodega tours for us. She speaks at least 5 languages, so there is no barrier no matter what country you are from. Parking can be a challenge, however, we were lucky enough to be able to rent her private one car garage (10 euros/day) for our rental car. In short, I cannot say enough good things about Casa Grande. HIGHLY recommend!!

Room Tip: The Junior suites are spacious and roomy.

Very lovely simple and well located hotel. The german owner lady makes it a home away from home. Good breakfast, nice rooms, free wifi, combined with a great location. Also fit for business travel in my view. Highly recommended!!

If you have never been to Jerez this is a very good hotel to choose for its location and standard of service on offer to guests. Monika the owner greeted us by name of arrival and helped to shape our weekend by offering advice on places to visit and to make bookings at a local restaurant to help us celebrate a special occasion and visit to a Bodega. Both restaurant and Bodega were excellent value and the latter was for a private tour at no extra cost and consisting of sampling a range of local sherry and brandy. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made very welcome to feel like it was our home.

The location is very good for walking round Jerez and also a short walk to the station which we used to catch a train for a day trip to Cadiz.

Room Tip: We stayed for three nights and had breakfast on the first day which was good value and had a very go...

What a find! A select, small hotel of 9 good size rooms with air-con on a plaza near the heart of Jerez. However it has a very relaxed, quiet ambience which the staff reflect in their quietly efficient approach. The owner is regularly in reception dealing directly with enquiries and sharing her wealth of local knowledge. There is a spacious roof terrace giving good views over the plaza and a central atrium through the building which is covered in inclement weather and open to the sky in good. Breakfast was ample and there is also a bar service. There is a library within the hotel and allocated parking spaces in the adjacent street. This is a superb hotel for couples wanting to get away and explore Jerez.

The rooms at this hotel are spacious, squeaky clean, modern and very comfortable. The hotel is very conveniently located in a square which is walking distance from the cathedral and central market. But, those aren't the best things about the hotel. It's all about the staff. Monica, the innkeeper, is absolutely fabulous. We arrived in Jerez at 2:00 am and found Monica waiting for us in person. We had warned her that we would be late, since we had just flown into Sevilla from Mallorca on a flight that didn't arrive until midnight. No worries, she whisked us through the registration process, got us to our room and then went out to put a parking permit on our car herself!!

Then, in the morning, when I realized that I had left my computer at the security check point on Mallorca (the first time that had happened to me in over 20 years of travel), Lola (Monica's second in command), sprang into action. She contacted the Palma de Mallorca airport, found my computer at the lost articles office, and arranged for it to be delivered to the hotel the next afternoon (it actually arrived the following morning)!! Absolutely incredible!!

Oh, and did I mention that they had maps of the city and surrounding area available to take, plus excellent advice on places to go not only in Jerez, but also Cadiz and the surrounding Frontera area.

This hotel deserves its #1 ranking.

I chose this hotel because of its great reviews and I was not disappointed. The rooms are the biggest I stayed in during my tour of Andalucia and they are clean as well. The hotel is near the centre and the owner, Monika is very helpful and knows anything there is to know about Jerez. She also speaks fluent English, German, French and Spanish so no chance of any misunderstanding! I had a room on the roof next to the terrace, which had great views of the neighbourhood. Will I stay anywhere else in Jerez on my next visit? No chance!

Room Tip: Try and get one of the two rooms on the roof terrace
