“Perfect...!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2013

There are hotels in Jerez de la Frontera and then Sercotel Asta Regia Jerez was created. It is the perfect place to stay, right in the heart of the city centre. It is located steps away from restaurants, some of the bodegas and wonderful churches. It is the type of hotel boutique that has proliferated in Europe in the last decade with a lot of success. It has a wonderful salt water pool on the fourth floor rooftop; the rooms are impeccably clean and well maintained. The staff is very cordial and helpful. I wish there were an Astia Regia in every city in Europe. As we arrived very early for the check-in due to a 12noon show at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, our rooms were not ready, but they made sure we felt welcomed, secured our luggage, and were willing to give us all the directions possible. Thanks to Ana at the reception desk for her warmth and charm.

Room Tip: Most rooms are great

Right in centre of town...ideal for a short visit to jerez...
New hotel modern style, staff very helpful...parking under square not easy to get to!! expensive but cheaper underground car park very close by.
Visit the castle only 5 mins walk away, very cheap entrance and very interesting.
Close to tio pepe sherry winery too.

Room Tip: Rooms a at front nice but might be noisy rooms at back look over walls, Different size rooms check...

My wife and I spent 2 nights here in October and were thoroughly pleased with the whole experience. We booked in advance from the UK, midweek for less than £50 per night room only which for a solid 4 star hotel seemed good value, and we upgraded to a "Junior Suite" on arrival for an additional £20 per night which was also good value and well worth doing. We had a very comfortable room with a sitting room off it, an excellent bathroom (although the shower did overflow occasionally) and a huge and extremely comfortable bed. The service was excellent and we went out for breakfast both mornings so con't comment on the food. The pool on the roof is small but at least it is there and even in October was open until 10pm - we didn't actually use it though! All in al an excellent hotel in a great location, just on the edge of the historic part of town and if we ever go back to Jerez, which I hope we will, we would certainly consider staying here again.

The Asta Regia is perfectly placed for exploring Jerez, it is clean and modern. The rooms are of a good size and the beds large and comfortable. The price we paid was very reasonable. Loved the black out curtains and the window shutters really did eliminate any street noise. The air conditioning was extremely efficient.

However, the décor was dark and the hotel lacking in any warmth or character. I felt I was in a dungeon once inside and glad to be asleep for the most part I spent in it.

Beware if you have a car, there is an underground car park immediately next to the hotel, it is 14.45 euro for over 12 hours . If you use this car park it pushes the overall value of the hotel down somewhat.

Loved my stay at Asta Regina hotel. Modern, stylish & clean. Good size room, very comfortable with air con, safe etc no charges for these. Free WiFi all around. Breakfasts were good & Nespresso machines :-) the location was perfect , just off the main square with a good selection of bars & restaurants. Two car parks within 5 mins walk, one was only 5euros for 24 hours. There is a pool/gym but didn't use these. The staff were really great & spoke good English. Really couldn't fault the hotel & if I come back to Jerez will defiantly stay again.

This hotel is really good value for money. We stayed here for 3 nights during our journey around Andalusia. It has an excellent location for exploring the old city of Jerez, for visiting the famous bodegas, and for an excursion to some of the villages at the nearby coast. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast was included in the price of our room and was good with plenty of choice. We had a standard room which was clean - rather modern - just good without anything extra. You can park your (rental) car almost in front of the hotel in a public underground parking place. We found this hotel very good value for money and I would recommend it if you plan to visit Jerez.

Room Tip: We had a standard room which was OK - do not expect a "room with a view"!!

it is a very clean and modern hotel, nothing wrong with the place but if you are looking for a romantic or a place with a difference it is not really the right choice. rooms are very dark (junior suite) and very standard (it could be any 4 star chain hotel in europe),dark and no saoul.for me too cold and no holiday feeling at all (appart from the swimming pool of course).
we have been coming to jerez for the last 3 years and i was very disapointed. we went back to the palacio garvey, amazing place in jerez. asta regia is more a buisnness hotel.
the staff was very nice, thanks to the cleaning ladies.

Room Tip: we stayed in junior suite 410,very very dark,we got changed to 202,was much better with a normal win...
