“Excellent hotel, great value for money”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013

This hotel is good value for money and it is perfectly located by the main square and 5 mins away from the cathedral and the old town.
The rooms are good and very clean, with lovely bathrooms.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The pool is not big but nice enough for a cooling down dip. The area around is nice, relaxing and with ok views of the city.

This is a lovely hotel on the edge of the square heading into the oldest part of Jerez. It is cool, clean and modern. We booked a Junior Suite and it was spacious with an enormous bed and two TV´s, the big bathroom had a bath and a shower. Lovely fluffy bathrobes and nice big towels were a bonus.
We looked at the roof top pool but did not stay as we were busy exploring, there was a little sauna and steam room as well and some gym equipment.
We didn´t have breakfast but it looked good value for 10 euros, the dining area looked clean and tidy.
I have one negative comment, I don´t understand why a hotel chain takes so much care on blackout curtains and then installs the emergency lighting close to the bed (it could safely have been put in the sitting area) the bright green light kept me awake both nights, take an eye mask if you like to sleep in the dark. Our room was at the back so definitely no view. It was a great stay and the staff we met were efficient and friendly.

This hotel is conveniently located in close proximity to everything. It is also so quiet you could hear a pin drop in the room causing me to oversleep on more than one occasion. One drawback was that the room was toward to rear and had no view...hence the quiet? Staff was wonderful and ready to help to see the local sites and make resturaunt recommendations. Would definitely return again.

The Asta Regia markets itself as a 4* hotel but certainly does not live up to the standard. We stupidly upgraded our room which resulted in us having a hideous gold sofa and an extra tv, totally unnecessary and regrettable. The decor is horrible, why they thought brown and gold leather-look fabric was a good combo is beyond me. The room was like a depressing throwback to the 70s.
The quality of the actual finishing was not up to scratch either - the hotel is new and throughout the building we got the impression that it was quickly cobbled together. We found plaster in our shower, light fixtures that pulled away from the wall, tiles were chipped and the corridor had not been hoovered. It was as though they finished it to a tight headline and then no one had been back to clean since.

The bathroom was large and toiletries/towels were replaced every day. Nothing in the room was free and the mini-bar looked half-empty. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains (?!) ensured we got a good night's sleep.

The breakfast was disappointing to say the least. Standard meats and cheeses sat out, alongside some greasy frankfurters and cold bacon. Not appetising.
In the centre of the dining room was a table with biscuits, muffins, pastries, and 2 kinds of cereal - all very sickly and not nutritious. In an unexpected throwback to my student days I ended up having a chocolate muffin and Frosties for breakfast. The hotel does not do table service...everything including coffee, milk, juice and the "hot food" sits out for the entire breakfast period. Yummy.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel as anything other than a bed for the night with average facilities.

Thanks to previous reviews on Trip Advisor have stayed for 3 nights in this modern, perfectly located hotel. The staff are welcoming and helpful, our room spotless, spacious and extremely comfortable. Not enough time here to use the small rooftop pool and gym/saunas! Definitely recommend and would return again.

Just fantastic in every way. Great modern huge rooms at a super low rates. Roof top pool (small but nice) and sun deck. Great front desk service. We initially parked at the lot just outside the hotel and the girl told us we could easily park it somewhere much cheaper (5euro) and she was right. I like when staff are proactive like that. Makes the stay even more unforgettable. I will definitely stay here again...it was perfect. and right in heart of the town walking distance to everything!

Great value for money. A fantastic hotel with all facilities, in the middle of the city. The rooms were brand new, spacious, clean and the bath room was spacious too.
The beds were of high quality and noises at night were not there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room, not on the street/front side.
