“Modern but fussy tapas in good setting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2013 via mobile

This tapas bar and restaurant in a side street off one of the tiny squares in the historic centre seems like a great find. However, the tapas are slightly pretentious with drizzles of, "jus", sprigs of rosemary and flowers on the plate. If you want a change from the traditional dishes you cangear in this area then, fine but for us it seemed as though this place was trying to belong to a city centre rather than providing hearty, regional choices. Being surrounded by wonderful sandstone historic buildings added something to our lunch. Each dish cost around €5 .

“Excellent Spanish cooking for a fair price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

We went there on two evenings during our three nights' stay.. The restaurant was closely located to our hotel (the parador) and it was raining cats and dogs. Both evenings we had an excellent meal for two, with a bottle of nice wine and all, for about 100 euros. An excellent quality:price ratio. The dishes are prepared with fantasy and creativity and weree thus a joy both for the eye and the palate. We were seated in the restaurant in order to have a more quiet dinner. However, i. The bar, with the usual Spanish noisy though nice atmosphere yoy can taste equally well prepared tapas at a rate of 5 euros each. With 2-4 tapas you will have a full meal. We were very happy there and certainly can recommend. I place. Service was exellent. People are proud of what they do.

“Charming place in the Caceres magnificent old town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2012

I highly recommend the experience of having dinner or creative cuisine "tapas" in this amazing and lovely restaurant located in the heart of the beautiful World Heritage Site of Caceres.

Chef Cesar Raez makes creative cuisine with the excellent land products and Chelo, makes your visit unforgetable. Their patio is a must.

“dining in the castle's courtyard”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2011

This is one of the restaurant for a special occassion. If dining under the stars and the candle light, with a michelin menu, is what you are looking for and you have a bit of budget to spare then this is it. I do agree with the Spanish comments earlier that service could improve but since we didn't have a problem with either waiting for the dishes or anything we are ok. The must try is the chocolate dessert and the wine card is also quite good.
