“This is such a comfortable hotel”
Reviewed June 1, 2012

This hotel is clean and comfortable as was my room which was spacious, at the ideal temperature with a great bed and bath. I had been on a short cruise prior to my stay here and I had the best night's sleep for a week at this hotel. It's close to the train station and it's easy to get to and from Venice.

Okay first of all, after reserving a shuttle pick up from the airport at a time that was not on their normal schedule, I was impressed, saved me 50 euros for a 15 minute drive (free). Front desk staff was friendly and was quick to assist with concerns or needs. Breakfast could have been better so make sure you get that coupon from front desk. After reading the reviews about dinner at 20 euros, and experiencing breakfast, we decided not to. Rooms were clean, overall the entire hotel was very clean. Trains are literally behind hotel and it was a breeze into Venice and back. always meeting people on train back getting off at same stop staying at the Crown. We had shuttle reserved for our return. Wish they had more than just CNN and BBC in english, but who needs tv after a full day in Venice. NICE.

We stayed in an executive room that was large, comfortable, well-appointed, and boasted an excellent bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Biggest problem is that the hotel is sandwiched between a noisy road and a railway line, with the station a few hundred yards from the back of the hotel. While this makes for an easy commute into Venice, it makes for difficult sleeping.

Originally, we were given a room facing the road. When we asked for a change of room, we were told about the rail line. The desk clerk recommended that the rattle of the train would be preferable to the roar of the road. Not really much to chose from then!

Room Tip: No matter which room you chose, you will either have road or rail noise.

This hotel is bit far from the main Venice station and even Venice Mestre. But it's great hotel situated in a small suburb of Venice. the hotel is situated within 50 meters of a railway station.

Large rooms (we are family of 4 and were very comfortable in our room) and good food. In addition to the hotel restaurant, some food options are available in the village within walking distance.

Beware that frequency of trains to Venice is not great and one has to plan travel (including arrival and departure) well. We arrived at Venice Mestre (From Florence) at night @ 9 pm and found that next train to D'alitno was after 2 hours. Taxi from Mestre to D'altino was 50 euro. Travelling everyday to Venice will mean return railway fare, but overall, moneywise, it still is a good deal. Much better than paying ransom for small hotels in Venice.

This hotel isn't located in the heart of Venice, but the price is quite a bit lower than in Venice. The train ride took 20 minutes. We visited in May, so it wasn't overly crowed, the train. The cost of the train for 2, both ways, is 11,40 Euros. Tickets for the train can be purchased at the front desk and the train station is a 3 minute walk, in back of the hotel. The room was clean and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet, we were able to sleep in. The personnel at the front desk as well as the restaurant were friendly, helpful and were able to communicate with us in English as well as French. My only problem with this hotel is that you have to reserve your shuttle from the airport ahead of time and our initial flight was delayed so we missed our shuttle. I sent an e-mail for the change from the airport but received confirmation 2 days later. We had to pay a taxi and the client information counter at the airport was of no help. The people at the airport were actually rude. Taxis have no meters, so be sure to bargain your taxi driver ahead of time.

Nice hotel. We were greated by a friendly, professional staff. 'Spoke english and were able to answer all of our questions. Had a great map of Venice. We chose the hotel because we had a car and were able to park at the hotel and take the train to Venice. The train pickup was directly behind the hotel. It was very convenient. The room was nice; great bed, linens and extra pillows. It was also very quiet. The only thing to complain about was water stains on lamp shade, broken trash can, only one wash cloth and no instructions to the thermostat. The breakfast buffet was not included in our price, but worth the 15 euros. Beautiful set up and wonderful food. Dinner was just ok. We had sea bass that would have been good, but was obviously cooked previously and warmed up. 'Can't complain about the bottle of local wine and creme brulee ;))

This hotel is perfect for people who dont mind taking the train into venice. The employee are very friendly and helpful. Took the free shuttle to the hotel however there was a long line when we got there due to a cruise ship had just dropped off. They room was ready with in minutes after getting there. They provided up with a train schedule, we bought the train tickets from them at the counter. The train is right behind the hotel took about 20 minutes into venice.
