“Fantastic Hotel and staff”
Reviewed October 10, 2010

This was a great hotel - fantastic grounds, rooms and staff. The Breakfast was extensive lots of fresh juices, bread, cheese, ham, cereal, fruit etc etc. The staff explained how the trains into venice worked and did offer a shuttle service for 3euros (although we didn't need it as we had a car). The train took 25mins from the station and arrived at the Grand Canal at Venezia Santa Lucia.
The hotel was clean tidy and was a relaxing break from the bustle ofthe city. There is easy access to roads leading to Verona, Lake Garda, and the Dolomite mountains to he North for fantastic days out not in the city.
The rooms were a good size and the bathroom had a jucuzzi jet. It was very peacful and not a large corporate set up.
Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed at the Villa for 2 nights and found it to be wonderfully charming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. In fact, the hotel manager allowed us to park our car on the hotel premises for 2 days after we left the Villa to stay at another hotel in Venice. This was extremely helpful, as parking in Venice can be really expensive and not always safe. We also found that staying outside Venice (at the Villa in Quarto d'Altino) as well as on the island of Venice is an ideal solution when visiting Venice with its throngs of tourists and pricey hotels.

We stayed in Villa Odino for two nights at the end of a fortnights holiday as we wanted to visit Venice for a day and we had an early morning flight home. We chose the hotel based on the tripadvisor reviews.

As we were there for such a short space of time and we were only using it as a base we didn't really appreciate the hotels amenities. However our room was gorgeous and quite sumptuous in design. The bathroom was as big as the bedroom and equally as nice. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were helpful and friendly. There was sky tv in the bedroom so we could watch some tv shows in English in the evening time which was unexpected.

It's an ideal location for visiting Venice as it's about 25mins on the train which run quite frequently and until late in the evening. It's also quite close to the airport so it's convenient for catching an early morning flight.

Our only minor criticism is that when we arrived no-one offered to help with our bags. I'm heavily pregnant so my husband had to get the luggage trolley, load it up and bring the bags to the room. We heard the same member of staff who'd checked us in offer to help another guest the next day. For a 4* hotel we would at least expect them to offer to help with the bags. However, its a minor criticism overall.

Villa Odino was suggested by a friend as a romantic hotel outside of Venice but only reachable with a car. That is correct. Although there are trips to Venice arranged going to Venice by car is the easiest way.
The rooms are decorated a bit old fashion but nice they are new. If someone likes it the room is nice but a question of taste. The villa provides an excellent and typical ambient for a night in Veneto.

We stayed here for only one night but all of us wished we had more time in this lovely hotel. The pool and rooms were beautiful and the setting next to a canal was charming. The personnel at this hotel were outstanding in their service to us. When we arrived we were a little early and they seated outside at the pool with complimentary beverages. That evening we ate from the snack menu but what a delicious meal. The lasagna was outstanding and the salad as fresh as could be. We had to leave on very early planes so the desk arranged a 4:30 A.M. shuttle and when we arrived to load we were provided with hot beverages and freshly baked brioches. What a lovely way to send us on our way. I highly recommend this hotel as a relaxing and pleasant place to stay.

Staying here was one of the best experiences we had in Europe. The hotel itself is immaculate and charming and the staff was the best. Very accomodating to all our needs and always willing to assit us whatever our desires. The hotel was able to provide us transportation to and from the airport as well as to the cruise port and back after our cruise. Special thanks to Pietro our cab driver who was so reliable. Be sure to ask for him through the hotel for any of your transportation needs. The hotel itself is out in the country but has easy and quick access to Venice via the train station nearby. So if you are looking for some peace and quiet in a charming setting away from busy Venice than this is your place. Special thanks to Natasha and the whole staff for making us feel so welcome. We only hope we can return someday.

We stayed for two nights in late May 2010. When planning our holiday we were put off by other reviews which made it seem complicated to use the train. We stayed elsewhere (The Crowne Plaza) which was very nice and next to the station, but had to move as there was no space.

When we reached Villa Odino we saw what we had missed! You can see from the other reviews about the riverside location (fantastic!!), the breakfasts (wonderful and so Veneto), and the great staff. About the staff - - nothing was too much trouble, everybody was always keen to meet our slightest requirement. You know how hotel eggs can be, well, a little iffy? Not here. Sitting in the conservatory on the first morning we watched the wildlife, including a woodpecker, just outside the window. Second morning we sat outside and heard but because we were at the front didn't see much up close.

We asked for ice. Actually we were about to ask about something else and the staff member anticipated that we would like ice. Got our question answered and wound up with a metal ice bucket full of the cold stuff. She also recommended an excellent pizzeria in the town (Decimus) which produced top quality food.

The internet (wired in the rooms, wireless in the lobby) was not free but quite reasonable. A fast service, and we bought 5 hours for €8. That wasn't 5 hours at a bunch, but 5 hours cumulative over the period. We still had some left at the end.

All -in- all a lovely place to which we expect to return next year.
