This is not your average Italian pasta joint. It is a new style of restaurant offering a blackboard daily menu as well as prepared dishes , both hot and cold from the deli styled counter. Chef Marco is a Michelin star chef who has taken his food to a new cliental, the lunch time diner. Don't be put off by the modern looking building because inside it is was very busy after 1:00pm when the workers come to partake in a gastronomic joyful experience. We were taken there by locals who new what they were doing. The antipasto was light yet full of flavour, encrusted roasted onions which were sweet as, mushrooms stuffed with yumminess, a tomato and bread puree that was bursting with flavour. We had the tuna tartare which was simply heaven. Accompanied by local wines selected by our friends.
The wines are all local, you can also top up with many excellent products while you are there like the best pasta. There are roasts, Porchetta, turkey, rotisserie chooks, guinea fowl and many more daily specials.
The Italians call lunch pranza and it is the main meal of the day. We were part of this daily ritual and were extremely pleased our local friends introduced us to this place. Local organic produce prepared fresh daily.
