stayed three days after round trip excellent place to end our sardegna vacation. rooms are excellent and clean, towels are changed twice a day if needed. we took half board and got excellent four course dinner. meals are served - no buffet- and you can choose from a good variety of excellent food. private beach, pool, and a beautiful overlooking of golfo aranci. we will certainly return to this place when we are back in sardegna
Just back from a wonderful 3 day stay in this fabulous family run hotel in Golfo Aranci. The hotel is located on the edge of the sea and has it's own private beach with wonderful views. The hotel is of a very high standard and the rooms are very spacious, the decor in the reception area is beautiful. The Staff in the hotel and restaurant have very good English and are very efficient and the food and service in the restaurant is very good. Golfo Aranci itself is well worth seeing and the hotel is great to use as a base to explore this part of Sardinia as it's located half an hour from Cost Smeralda. Will definitely be returning.
i was delighted with this hotel. It is on the beach with wonderful view. My room was clean and with sea view. The staff are polite, warm and useful. The price per night was acceptable and it included breakfast also. We were having breakfast at the terrace near the sea. There is a pool in the garden
We have just returned from our wonderful Trip to Sardinia in September this year. Staying at the Gabbiano Azzurro for two weeks the second time, they even managed to top last year’s experience. The friendliness, service level & quality combined with the gorgeous property delivered an extremely pleasant vacation far beyond our expectations - again!
Being recognized as a return guest upon welcoming, greeted by the team and management, gave us a feeling of coming home and set the right tone for the remaining days – simply outstanding. Each single moment we experienced the true spirit of hospitality throughout every single day at our entire stay. All team members, from Food & Beverage, Reception, Housekeeping or any other departments had a pleasant attitude and behaved in an exemplary manner while showcasing service excellence.
We truly enjoyed all Food & Beverage facilities. The food was authentic, of superior quality, great presentation and served to perfection; a culinary journey allowing us to explore fresh Mediterranean and Sardinian cuisine – pure indulgence.
The private beach, the pool and terrace are tailor suited for relaxation; a perfect location to switch off and recharge the batteries as well as having great fun with the entire family.
The rooms are fantastic, too: clean, spacious, pleasant décor, Flat LCD TV with more than 100 channels, balcony with stunning view, superb amenities, including the bathroom with Jacuzzi – very nice.
We look already very much forward to come back next year, but are also wondering how they want to top this year’s experience then :-)
We were lucky enough to stay here with a fairly late, discounted booking for a classic double with additional bed for our 8yo, which upon arrival was generously upgraded to a suite overlooking the beach. This is the loveliest place we've ever stayed. The staff are simply a delight, the breakfast extraordinary (&included) and the a la carte meals superb. The hotel has a private beach with lounges and towels all free. The sand is white. The water crystal clear and warm. The pool gorgeous, if a little over chlorinated. The terraced table areas expansive and peaceful. We were here for a little over 24hrs on our way though fom corsica to rome (hotel chosen for proximity to the olbia airport 20mins away) and it felt like a week of refreshing pampering...a surreal, 'how the other half live' experience but still affordable. we didn't want to leave. Notable is the fact that generally we will opt for rustic, character-filled accommodations with close proximity to cultural sites...this place is a refuge for the beach goer, great for children too and simply a wonderful retreat to unwind. Once we walked through the doors we did not walk out again until we had to leave! (only downside: hard beds!)
I chose this hotel because of the reviews and the beach. This beach is perfect if you have small children because it's shallow a long way. So, the kids can play and enjoy a lot. Also because the are no high waves. The hotel itself is nice. Beautiful sea views! Service was very good! First night we arrived late and we had half board, i asked if we could have our dinner in the room. They had no problem with my request and the were very nice. 2 guys came to our room and arranged a romantic dinner for my husband and me. It was great! Lunch was also tasteful. Only the dinner of the 2ond night was not so good. it was cold and less tasteful as the the first night and the lunch. I would consider returning to this place, however as it's not so big (also a small swimming pool) I would avoid during high season.
Golfo Aranci is a quite place with not much to do than relax and enjoy the surroundings. I would not recommend this place to young folks that want to party.

About 15- 20min from Olbia by car. (we arrived by ferry in the evening. It was nice that this nice beach and hotel was not so far away!)

Wifi is not free of charge in the room (in the lobby is for free)
You have to pay (10euros) per sun bed per person per day! That is asking too much in my view!
Suggestion:
As many family come here with small children (because of the beach) I would suggest to have a play room in the hotel for the kids. That would be a nice addition to the hotel.
