This is an enjoyable location to stay on business, in a relatively quite area, but still accessible to main arteries. Good restaurant on site with a good breakfast. Rooms are spacious and clean with a warm and welcome atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful - sorted problems with the wifi quickly. The forest next to it is nice for an early morning jog or evening stroll to dilute the stress of business.

Beautiful Hotel with lovely rooms decorated with typical German Colonial furniture. To start with the staff is very friendly, helpful and efficient. The architecture of the Hotel and the rooms are typical German and mesmerizing. It was a pity that I stayed only for a night and was on a business trip, would love to spend couple of days with my wife. The coffee machine in the room was a great idea. The breakfast was nice and the food in the restaurant is super.
Would love to visit again.

This is one of my favourite hotels. The rooms are spacious and well appointed in a farmhouse style - lots of character and charm. The hotel is beautifully decorated a boasts a very good wellness area with pool, saunas, steam room and fitness area. The staff are curious, helpful and friendly. I stay there during the largest plastics show in the world and when I am on business in Düsseldorf and look forward all day to returning to tranquility and peace.
The food in the restaurant is very, very, very good indeed. A varied menu and friendly staff.. Breakfast offers a great choice of food.
My only minus point is that there is no lift. Shen staying on the top floor, it is difficult to get a very heavy suitcase up and down the stairs, but the helpful staff are happy to assist and carry the luggage.

Room Tip: The rooms on the top floor are lovely and spacious with large bathrooms.

I have stayed at this hotel at least six times over the past year (2011) and it has always been a wonderful experience. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is really excellent and the hotel has a wonderful charm and character about it. In the summertime it is pleasure eating at a table on the lawn at the back of the hotel.
The rooms vary (I don't think I have ever stayed in two that were remotely the same) but in those that I have stayed I have always been very happy and comfortable. The linen is very good quality.
There is an annex on the opposite side of the road to the main hotel (they take you there on a golf cart via a private tunnel under the road) where the rooms have lovely views across the countryside.
Breakfast is served in the pavilion and is always plentiful, very fresh and very cheerfully served by the breakfast staff. There is plenty of parking space. The only downfall is the wifi system. You have to pay for access but late at night it is almost imposible to get a connection and when you do, it is very slow.

Room Tip: Rooms 72 to 77 are very nice. A bit of a walk up a couple of flights of stairs but worth it. If you...

This is really a beautiful hotel. Though not meant for business travelers. This is part of "Romantikhotels" of the world. Rooms are pretty spacious and clean. It has antique look which makes it different from normal business hotels. Their way in hotel at times makes you lose way to where you are going. :)

Serves pretty good breakfast and special menus for different variety of food. I got my vegetarian menu with loads of choice. Food was excellent.

As being run by family, does not have great service.

Overall a very good experience.

For an alternative to a city centre hotel and a taste of Germany, this is a great choice, just between Cologne and Dusseldorf and really convenient road links.
As good as we remembered from staying last year, very friendly staff, cosy atmosphere and absolutely charming restaurant/beer garden. Traditional (ie hearty!) and delicious food. Wireless internet was €15 for one hour in the room, but late checkout to enable us to make the most of the fantastic spa/sauna/garden areas readily and happily accommodated. Spotlessly clean and cared for hotel.
The only downside is no airconditioning and during a very hot weekend with the windows wide open there was some noise from the railway, but lovely views from the window. We will return!
