From what we understood this place was founded by olive oil dealers who decided to start a new business. They probably should have been told that you don't become a restaurateur just because you already deal with food.
The place is nice, but this is the only positive thing about Yaya. The food has no interest, and the menu is amazingly short : in total, 3 dishes, 2 salads (almost similar), and some pitas (basically Greek sandwiches). We tried the pork, which is a cube of fat, the pitas, which are soaked with oil, and the salads: tomato, cucumber, cheese or cucumber, tomato, melon....
On top of that, service is dreadful. Sincerely, I've never seen such a poor service anywhere. Staff is slow, inefficient, arrogant.
This place is lucky to be the only one in this new area but I'll recommend to anyone being around to order some food on the net rather than experience this horrible place

Dear Kvknm,

Thank you for taking the time visiting us.
We opened YAYA 4 months ago and since the beginning we try to do our best to offer a Greek modern cuisine with only fresh and high quality products.

It is the first time we heard that Yaya is a "horrible place". The menu is short Because from the mezzes to the dishes and desserts, everything is prepared last minute to keep the best taste and freshness. At this point we are very different with most of Greek restaurant that serves 4 pages of dishes with non fresh food. The pita is also homemade (and I think we are the only one greek restaurant in france to do it « home made »...) as the pita is done in my little village in Greece. That’s the recipe of my grandma and it is written in the menu that we prepare with extra virgin olive oil. A pure premium quality olive oil with a real good taste. That’s why it is a little bit oily. Because as you know in Greece we like olive oil. We live with olive oil. we eat olive oil from the morning to the dinner ;) that’s the basics of our culture and our cuisine.

We are sorry if you judge our waiter too arrogant, we do not understand as we only have good comments about that. We employed only young people and teach them to be respectful and very attentive to the client.

We wish your next visit to Yaya will be better.. for your information we just changed the menu this Monday so you are more than welcome.

Sincerely,

Pierre Julien Chantzios
Co-Founder of YAYA and KALIOS

Let's start with the good news : the food is good. The place is pleasant. End of the good news.
Yaya offers the shortest menu ever. Not that kind of short menu that changes every day according to what the chef finds in the morning, unfortunately. Just lazily short. For starters, only basic spreadings such as tarama, tapenade... then a choice of 3 main courses only! Service is friendly but erratic, managers completely overwhelmed by the computerize reservation system.
In a nutshell, the place you go once because its new, but never go back because it's absolutely pointless to make twice the same experience
